Worst biryani ever. Low quality rice. Didn’t appear to be good quality basmati rice. When we got the take out, it was a lump of yellow looking rice. In biryani, you need to have grains of basmati and not everything sticking together. Moreover, rice for biryani and peas pulao looked identical (except there were peas in pulao and chunks of chicken in biryani). No raita served with biryani. Even on a worse day, i make better biryani at home. Dal tarka was pretty bland as well
Extremely disappointed. I think most of the reviews are fake. I ordered few dishes but didn't liked any of them. I felt that food was frozen. Especially chicken. We ordered sizzling tandoori chicken, dal tadka, samosa and naan. Surprisingly all the dishes were on the table in less than 10 minutes. Usually tandoori dishes takes long time to cook in tandoori oven. We ordered garlic naan but they were nothing like that. There was no garlic in it. Overall, poor service and food. This might be a popular restaurant 15 years ago but it's not good anymore. I will attach pictures of dishes i ordered along with the reviewjust to prove that it happened for real.IT WAS NOT AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD
Excellent food in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Their specialty butter chicken was excellent with a lovely white creamy coconut sauce - their onion bahjis were outstanding - beef madras and lamb dupiaza also thoroughly enjoyed! Was nice to be able to dine in again!
It was a wonderful experience of dine in this India restaurant, their food were amazing! The restaurant received so many awards which is a guaranteed their quality. The owner is a very nice person, I hope he can continue running this restaurant even during this tough time.
This is the oldest and best Indian restaurant in Peterborough. If you're a spice enthusiast like me, you'll love their various curries, whether vegetarian or with meat. They have the very best nan and mulligatawny soup. Bhaji, samoza, nan, tandoor, dal, it's all wonderful.
Incredible food and service. It always feels like coming home. Muslim and Shahid are like family.
I had a fantastic experience ordering a large amount of veggie Samosa for my colleagues. Everyone loved them. The sauce is delicious and my kids love the food here. Samosa are perfectly spiced and STUFFED with veggies. Thank you so much! We’ll be back.
We went for a sit down meal with our son. Were treated to a delicious authentic Indian experience. Very authentic vibe and were advised on dishes & spice level. Extremely pleasant owner & server. Was a treat to experience authentic Indian made with whole foods and care. Highly recommend Curry Village. We’ll be back for sure.
Long time customer, like 18 years or so I think...best Indian food in Peterborough, Best Chicken Dahnsak in the world...super great people..they are like family now! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++!!!!!!!!!! who is that young fella in the Bangladesh shirt????!!!
Had a wonderful experience at Curry Village for the first time this evening. I ordered the Chicken Tandoor and boy was it ever a smoke show…. Literally! It was served on a searing hot skillet fresh from the kitchen. The presentation was as memorable as the flavour that’s for sure, absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to be back again, Highly recommend.
