Got my Parents a gift card for their anniversary last summer. They tried to use it the other night now that covid is less and they feel more comfortable going out. As they tried to pay they were told because of change in ownership they cannot use the gift card. If it’s the same business name should the gift card not be honoured? They weren’t fond of their meals as well. Won’t be returning.
Quick and friendly service, discount for movie tickets, extensive menu of delicious ? burgers! Oh yeah, and they support the community but supporting the farmer’s market! Gluten-free and plant based options
Poutine 3/5Chicken sandwich 2/5Salad 3/5Poutine was standard . Chicken sandwich was as thin as a piece of paper usually wouldn’t be to upset with it because it tasted good but for 16$ I would expect a quality sized breast for my CHICKEN Sandwich .
Very friendly staff, the food was great (the gravy is absolutely amazing) 4 of us went with 4 different food orders and drinks and the staff made 0 mistakes. They were very welcoming of my wife's service dog(not all places are). Will definitely be going again.
Pretty good burger I must say. I was told by the waitress that they have brought back their classic burger menu. Also recommend that you try their wings too. Well worth the trip to downtown.
Just had a FABULOUS breakfast burrito here for lunch: the filling was piping hot and tasty, and the flour tortilla wrap was perfectly toasted with delicious grilled bits. Good side salad too. My husband really enjoyed his burger and fries too. We're just passing through town--so glad we found this spot!
Do not waste your money. The server was lovely, felt really sorry for her. We ordered pork snitzel and crispy chicken tacos and stuffed potatoes skins as an appetizer. They brought everything out at the same time, not a huge deal if the food was good. It was garbage, sent the snitzel back as it was so over cooked you could not cut it. Their famous tacos were awful, tasted like frozen chicken fingers with cheap jar salsa thrown on top. The fries tasted like they were old and reheated. Such bad food, they won't be in business long.
This place has gotten worse and worse. We made reservations for 6, struggled to get anyone to seat us and the first three beers we ordered they were out of. We proceeded to wait over 70 minutes for basic burgers and sides, two of which arrived correct and three of which arrived wrong... and three never showed up. The crispy onions were just raw red onion, the burgers were overcooked and dry without any of the listed condiments from the menu, overcooked onion rings... but ateast the fries were okay. The three missing meals we did get free after half the group had left (they weren't what were ordered) and we had to eat them elsewhere as we had plans. Easily the worst service I have ever received in Peterborough, the staff and management seemed way over their head and couldn't get service out. Terrible experience.
This was some of the WORST food and service I've ever had. The new owners of this place really ran it into the ground. The burgers are dry, and fries are tasteless.I really can't believe they gutted the menu as bad as they did, and the BBQ sauce on the pulled pork tastes like dollar store quality. Our server walked passed us 3 times as we tried to call her down for a drink, and walked passed us again when we tried to ask for the bill and had our plates stacked. What a disappointment for Peterborough this new owner has turned BrickHouse into. An expensive disappointment.
Previously, the food here was awesome - always enjoyed coming to get my personalized burger with peanut butter, bacon and cheese (SOOO good) and their fat, awesome onion rings. Unfortunately, after returning to the restaurant recently after a few months, the menu has changed, and the quality of food has gone down. The onion rings are gross, and similar to those of a fast food restaurant like burger king, and the burgers tasted like sweaty feet. I ordered tacos, because the peanut butter is no longer an option for burger topping, and the tacos were merely hamburger meat (not seasoned for tacos at all) on taco bread with basic toppings. The meat tasted terrible. After years of being regular customers, this most recent experience has led us to decide not to return to waste our money. So disappointing.
