The SEVENTEEN DOLLAR Thai bites I just paid for (Uber eats order) are entirely INEDIBLE. THAT "CHICKEN" IS NOT CHICKEN. DISGUSTING. It's like eating a raw tendon...I wouldn't even feed this to my dogs. They also forgot half my kids meal so that's fun too. After ordering many times from this place, TRYING to give it a fair chance, we end up being disappointed every time. we won't go back again.
With two kids, usually order their meals first so they come out fast. Then we order ours when the drinks come. Kids were already done their entire meals while our meals didn't come for at least another 10 min. Fries were Luke warm at best. My burger missing the sauce it comes with. They're Training in the kitchen. Okay I get it, I usually have a bit of tolerance for that but this was getting a bit much. The service was good and attentive.
Not cool, on many levels....Visited this location for supper. Restaurant was pretty empty upon arrival, but we still waited to be greeted and seated.Our server was a nice girl, but service was exceptionally slow. We ordered pasta dishes, expressly requested pasta al dente. We ordered starter salads.After a crazy long wait, our pasta dishes came. Unfortunately, our starter salads didn't arrive. Both pasta dishes had mushy noodles - what we had hoped to avoid by requesting al dente. The person who brought the pasta was rude. It wasn't our server. We politely explained that our starter salads - operative word being starter - did not come. She sniped at us that she had just started her shift and it wasn't her fault. Seemed like she felt it was our fault. Weird. So she dropped the plates and basically stormed off, never to be seen again.I was out of water, and no sign of anyone coming anytime soon, so I asked another server if she would mind - girl with the long skinny braid was FANTASTIC - so friendly and kind and efficient!! Thank you!! And again, our own server was very nice, but she just didn't seem to be able to serve efficiently. She might have been new, so fair enough if that is the case. However, there is no excuse for the older server who sniped at us. None.It was a disaster and the restaurant was as hot as heck. The table behind us was saying the same thing about too hot and too slow! Not cool. Pardon the pun. We've had a few terrible experiences at this particular location. Patterns tell the story....Just for the record, we did tip our server well because at least she was very pleasant. Thank you.
Not very happy on how my Mother's day Sunday delivery was handled. Ordered food at 11 am for 6:30 delivery. Entered all CC info online with tip incl. Got a call later that evening saying that it wasn't charged to the card. What is the point then? Plus the driver never told me of this or I would've paid it on the spot. Most purchases I make online are charged right away with a confirmation email. This was misleading. Won't order from them again.
Front lobby of restaurant crammed with people...Most people not wearing masks and no staff wearing masks...I guess it's fine now but as a family that still sees COVID as a threat, we were disappointed. Barriers between tables were removed so we decided to take a spot on their heated patio. Well, we weren't greeted by a server for over 15 minutes...I went in to ask why, they said someone would be right out. Finally greeted and orders were taken. Got food, room temp at best, and our kids' fries were spicy (not sure how that's possible). We mentioned it and it was pretty much just thrown under the rug. Then there were the other tables with dirty dishes from past patrons just left there, servers and managers just walking past them. After our mains were taken away, we asked for the kids deserts and the bill. Another 20 minutes past and nothing. Finally someone who I think was the manager said they would look into this and get the ice-creams asap disappeared. Nothing...Finally fed up, we walked inside got our bill and left. Stopped into McDonalds and picked up sundaes for the kids...This was unacceptable! We won't be back!
Great amazing staff. Good food.But very disappointed with the washroom setup. Surprised the Resturant does not have taps with sensors. They have push button taps that only last for 6 seconds and does not give you enough time to wash your hands. I can’t believe this taps still exist.
New to town, visiting family and we stopped by for a quick bite to eat. The staff was outstanding and the food ...well worth writing about. We had a great time and will definately make this our new family dinner restaurant everytime we are in Peterborough.
Took us to our table for 2 right away! Gave us 1 menu & stated they would be back! We had walked by many tables labeled “Sanitized!” Heck our table wasn’t even clean! We called waitress over & she came back & wiped it down! We got our water w/lemon & she was gone before we could ask for a 2nd menu! 15 minutes or so we called a waitress & asked for a 2nd menu! Must have been waiting 20 minutes or more for waitress to come & take our order! We got our spinach dip & bread maybe 20 minutes later! Oh I ordered steak dinner-medium, veggies & garlic mashed potatoes & a side of gravy! My sister order a burger fries & a side of gravy! The waitress came to tell me they had no mashed potatoes, so I ordered French fries! Finally when food came it was all cold, even sides of gravy! Called waitress over & told her food was cold , except for our fries! She asked us what we wanted to do! Well for paying over $25.00 just for my steak plate, I want it hot! She went & got another woman, her boss I guess! We also asked for pepper & maybe some steak sauce when she brought it back! It still wasn’t great! First time I have ever gone to Boston Pizza! I won’t be back! The waitress & her boss tried to blame it on kitchen staff, well we think it sat there & waitresses didn’t bring it out as soon as it was put up! The first waitress asked how our food was & we said, no better, we won’t be back! She said she’d bring our cheque! Then came out her boss & said we weren’t being charged for our food! My sister still left a tip & we left! Never have I been so disappointed in my life! I won’t be going back to Boston pizza on Chemong Road in Peterborough again! So much for my first & last time! ??PS- Waitresses seemed to disappear, obviously not in the kitchen to see when plates were put up & left there! And I don’t mind a bit of a longer waiting time for a great meal!
Overall it was not a great experience and will not return. We waited at the front entrance for about 5 minutes before anyone said anything to us. Then we waited another 5 minutes to be seated. We were the only ones in line waiting. We were seated and waited about another 7 minutes before anyone said anything to us or asked us for drinks. There were two other tables present. We had Brayden as a server and overall and he tried really hard. Very personable. A lady finally brought us our drink order and told us "the other waiter will be by to deal with us." What? Who says that to a customer? We ordered our food. The app of Cactus Fries were soggy and not great. Then we waited for another 40 minutes for our food order to hit our table. Brayden had come by and apologized for the wait saying that they had a lot of take out orders that came in . I was in view of the door and there was one pickup and one UBER order. That was it. So what else was going on? All we heard were laughter and loud conversations coming from the the kitchen area. We felt that we were interrupting their social time and we were an after thought. Our food finally came and it had obviously been sitting under the heat lamps for a very long time. All of it had that heat lamp skin on it, my husbands salad was limp, and our dinners were luke warm at best. Extremely disappointing for the price we paid. Great news is, there are other restaurants to choose from in Peterborough because we will not be back to this one.
Waited an hour and 40 minutes for delivery. Our food was cold so clearly it had been sitting for some time. when it finally did show up the portions were unacceptably small. 2 orders of fries and I could quite literally count them without touching them. The pasta I ordered was the same. About half filled from what it normally is and for $17. I could put it in a small bowl. Gravy container lid wasn't on and it probably never was since the lid was flattened out separately. luckily because it took nearly 2 hours the gravy was gelatinous at this time so leakage was minimal. Everything that could go wrong did. we ordered before and had no complaints. I work in a restaurant myself and couldn't imagine trying to pass this off as acceptable.
