My family and I are sushi lovers, and we have been trying to find a decent sushi restaurant in Peterborough. We decided to try Aji Sai. We did wait about 10 minutes to be seated, but it’s not the staffs fault, it looked like only 2 people were working. For an all you can eat sushi restaurant it exceeded our expectations. They have a variety of options on the menu, but they did not have tuna (my favourite aside from salmon). Over all it had a nice atmosphere, clean premises, great taste, we will definitely visit again.
We were a party of four and this was our first time at Aji Sai and it was a very pleasant experience. The decor was clean and tidy. As is becoming more popular these days, we ordered via a tablet. Our orders came quickly and were fresh and a descent size portions. My only complaint was with their hours. We were told that they close at 8:30pm on a Saturday? Yet, their take-away menu shows that their hours of business are 11am to 10pm, 7 days a week?!
Terrible food. Too describe it better I will tell you fried chicken came cold, some food was over cooked, wasabi that was not at all spicy, too much cheap sauce smothered over others, bone fragment in chicken, rancid fish in sushi. I’m forgetting some other complaints. Bathroom is very small and dirty I have seen larger toilets in tent trailers. 2$ a can for pop. Very little food on menu for non sushi eaters. I would not go back here if it was free.
Ordered on Skipthedishes a while back from here. Food wasn't anything super impressive but it was good! No complaints from me.
Love the two and three roll takeout special, great amount of food for the price and always delicious!
I’ve lived in the area for 5 years now and finally took a chance on this place to try sushi as I’ve been trying to find a decent place with bite-sized sushi in town and haven’t been able to - except Aji Sai still makes the normal sized rolls instead of the double-rolls seen at a few other places in town now (which are hard to eat since I can’t eat a piece in a single bite and it just ends up falling apart and isn’t good). They’re now my top recommendation for Sushi Rolls especially if you don’t like how most places are doing the double-sized rolls now. If Aji Sai ever switches to the big ones I will cry cause then there will be nowhere that does a good sushi roll.
The crab croquets were raw dough. Rolls were very loose and fell apart.
Great options to choose from, I had pick up order and their beef teriyaki was delicious.
Lastnight my husband and I took our 3 children out to eat, the service was horrible, tables were extremely sticky and every one of us ran out of drink more than a few times. The waitress walked passed us many times. Finally we had to ask for refills. It took well over an hour to eat our food and the food was EXTREMELY disappointing. I even questioned if the meat was bad. I actually embarrassingly had to spit it out because of the taste and when I smelled it I couldn’t eat another bite of anything. When we got our bill they tacked on a $25.00 tip! We always tip and tip well but wow! I do not recommend this place at all.
