Haven't had their dimsum but we went for their dinner menu. The service was good as we had someone in the group who spoke Vietnamese. The food was good too. Some dishes were better at other restaurants but if you go in a big group you can try many dishes. My personal favorite was the crispy beef!
As famous as this restaurant is, their dim sum plates are only above average. The flavours are authentic, sure, and the service is decent (at a Chinese restaurant too, what a surprise). However, nothing was exceptional, creative, or even extremely high quality and fresh. I recommend this if you're staying in Ottawa for a while, and you want a gentle introduction to Chinese food.
Love Yangtze restaurant. Delicious food, friendly and welcoming service. If you're looking for an incredible meal out, don't miss Yangtze! Also, definitely try the peking duck!
For Ottawa this may be considered good dimsum, I am from Toronto so my expectations may be high. All in all it was a good place to satisfy my cravings outside my home city. The baked bbq pork buns were delicious, had a honey glaze on top which was a new experience.
This is the -best- dim sum in Ottawa! Also one three best Chinese restaurants for evening meals in town. I first started going for weekend brunch dim sums 40 years ago, while an undergrad at Carlton and still do, so I've been to all the dim brunches in town when I'm staying in Ottawa and have a clear conscience saying this is #1!These two pics are from my first post-lockdown dim sum brunch at the beginning of Dec, 2021.
I always bring my family here when they visit Ottawa. Really good dim sum options & family style dishes to share. Great atmosphere & friendly service.
Great dim sum place on a Sunday. Good fast service. No trolley of dim sum items but needed to check off what you like from a list. I needed to Google some of the.items to make sure what we were ordering. Decided to take pictures and put names of the dishes to help others.
Good and tasty food, service good too. I would recommend to the owner to consider a visual menu for those (like me) who don't know what they are ordering, I was using google to find pictures of things I ordered.
