What lovely people that make delicious cupcakes! I ordered cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and need to reschedule my order due to COVID. The shop was very accommodating and happily moved my pick-up date. Then when I was trying to pick up my cupcakes during the trucker convoy and couldn't find parking, I called the shop and they ran out with my order. The cupcakes were very tasty, fresh and looked perfect. I've ordered from Thimble Cakes before and will definitely again!
I had a wonderful experience with Thimble Cakes - I ordered a birthday cake for my husband on Tuesday for delivery on Friday. It was delivered right in the delivery estimate window they gave me - on the earlier side too! The cake was beautifully baked and decorated, and better yet - absolutely delicious! Will definitely order from Thimble Cakes again!
I love their rose vanilla cake with a passion. I get it every year. Keep in mind that it is dense and chewy, which I love. It won't be everyone cup of tea though (my mother really didn't like it, which was unfortunate because I bought her the rose vanilla cake I loved so much for her birthday one year). I really like to eat this cake frozen as well, especially the buttercream (but I wouldn't recommend others try that). Their coconut milk ice cream sammich is also super delicious. I'm not in the city anymore and I miss the unique cake texture and flavour of their rose vanilla cake a lot.
We booked with ThimbleCakes for our Sept 25th wedding and we were not disappointed! We needed a cake that was peanut-free (my husband is highly allergic), and we knew we could trust ThimbleCakes. The booking process was super easy, and we loved that we got to try samples before we ordered! We ordered a small tiered cake as well as cupcakes of the same flavour so our guests could easily grab a taste throughout the evening. ThimbleCakes delivered right to our reception room and set up everything beautifully. Of course the cake was DELICIOUS - we can't wait to have our frozen top layer on our anniversary just to taste it again!
Went on a hunt for the best red velvet cupcake in Ottawa. A reddit post reccomended ThimbleCakes. What a great reccomendation it was! For six cupcakes theres no tax and thr price is under 25. The cupcakes itself are nice dense/moist cakes with great frosting. Red velvet is delightful. The cookie dough ones frosting is little grainy and great nontheless.
Loves their mini cupcakes. They were perfect for my wife's birthday party. We had some gluten free ones in the assortment and they were quite yummy. Love this place and will definitely be back!!!

A great place to get vegan cakes, cupcakes and icecream. Situated conveniently on the Bank Street. It's surrounded by many other businesses. They even have options for people with nut allergies. And specifically asked me if there are any other ingredients that I may be allergic too. The staff was also quite helpful. A great bakery to visit if you are a vegan/vegetarian or someone with food allergies.
