I am a happy repeat customer of the Waverley! The staff is so welcoming and personable - particularly Marquise, who has served me the last few times that I have visited and who provides incredible service . The food is delicious, the drinks are awesome...I have nothing but positive things to say about the restaurant! It's a great place to eat in the summer because their outdoor patio is spacious, and in the winter because the restaurant is cozy and quaint.
Decent overall atmosphere and service. Good acoustics is the defining factor for this establishment. Ideal spot to have group gatherings or one-on-one conversations. May want to make reservations ahead of time for larger groups.Restaurant layout can use some update. Lighting can be also improved.Food was good. Typical bar food that can use some improvement (maybe I need to try more). Generally one of the good eating spots in Ottawa.Cocktail bar. Bar seems to have extensive collection of options. I had old fashioned drink. It was good.
BEWARE!Went here this past weekend and all though the bar was nice and drinks were good I was not impressed with my first experience. I arrived around 10:45pm with a group of about 6 and still had one more arriving later. At around 11:15pm the last member of our group showed up and got in the line that was only a handful people deep and was informed that the line was cut off for the line. She waited in hopes of someone leaving that she would be able to slide in. Inside we try talking to the very rude and cold bouncers when we saw people leave but we’re given the same answer that the line was cut off for the night. Now this would have been fine if the line was truly cut off but my friend outside witnessed 20-30 people be let in ahead of her because “they knew a staff member inside” while she was continuously told it was full for the night or that bylaw had come in and gave them a warning. When my friend even mentioned to the bouncer that she had just gotten off work at a different establishment and understood it was busy; the bouncer rudely told her “she should do a better job planning her nights”.I would strongly suggested taking your business elsewhere when thinking about this establishment. They care more about “their friends” getting in who are probably getting discounts than actually let in fully paying customers. The bouncers are extremely rude and judgmental and seem to think they have the power to speak to potential customers in a condescending tone.I for one will not be returning to the establishment purely for the reason of house they treat customers who aren’t their friends. It a real shame since the building itself and the drinks were good.
Love this place, great staff and service. Food is casual but unique. Worth a visit!!
Visited for dinner with a friend for the first time and I am definitely coming back! I got the steak with Sweet potato fries and it was delicious. Loved the ambience and the Interiors. Service was great too, I don’t remember the name of our server but she checked in with us often.

I went Wednesday night with my partner and had an amazing time!!! Our server Anne was the sweetest she recommended the blue and black burger and it was great! Our first big night out for sometime (thanks Covid) and she made the experience so fun! Came for the food stayed for the service. 10/10

Nice ambience, great service and food. Charcuterie plate was delicious, very tasty, nice mix of flavors. Enjoyed the Ironstone red wine.
This was an accidental dinner outing that turned out quite well. We were again, searching for something that was open on Christmas week and found Waverley. There was some confusion over seating availability due to covid19 protocols which was unfortunate but the atmosphere was a fairly relaxed lounge energy.Reasonable prices for fairly well presented and prepared food that was slightly elevated bub fair.All in all, worth a trip!*Gluten-free options available ?
