What to say about Savory? friendly staff which did tell me it could take 30-45 min to receive food..didn't stop me from ordering as I had 40min to spare. My lovely server told me she rushed the order of 3 challah french toast topped with blueberries...and Wow so filling and delicious. Highly Recommend and will most definitely come back
Went to order brunch here on my birthday with a good friend of mine. The food was awful. My friend ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. The salmon came cooked, like a filet, since they said they didn’t have any smoked salmon left. When we asked about the capers that were suppose to be included they told us they didn’t have any in house, “sorry”. They didn’t tell us when we ordered that the salmon would be cooked. I ordered the chorizo Benedict. The eggs were fine but the salad was past due and the fruit was literally… mouldy, see picture. Only giving two stars because the waiter was attentive to how horrible the food was and didn’t charge us. Not going to recommend Savoy as a place for brunch to friends though, it tasted pretty gross.
Been twice, brunch is good, not amazing, but boy do they struggle with service. Nice people but seems disorganized and takes forever to get the food, a lot of walking back and fourth without acknowledging us and taking our empty plates! It’s quite loud as well as it is a big space with lots of echo. There was kids banging on tables which was greeeaaat! ??
Went for dinner, waited 20 minutes and no one came to serve us. Finally got up and left….no one even cared. Too bad, they have good food but struggle with service.
Came for an 11:30am reservation and after being seated no one acknowledged us for half an hour. Server finally came and took our order at noon after we flagged someone else down and the food came out at 1pm.. a full hour after we ordered. At 12:50pm, the server did apologize and said they're making our order now, but it seems like our ticket was forgotten as 4 tables that were seated after us got their food beforehand. Basically took us 1.5hrs to see food! The food itself was very average and they forgot half the bread and pate on my order. The sausage was also somewhat burned but cold? The only hot food item out of 4 orders was my friend's sweet potato fries. Will not be going back unfortunately.
The restaurant was at full capacity. The ambiance was buzzing. The cocktails were nice and the food was food. Only a few restaurants offer reservations for brunch. The Savoy offers that possibility which is greatly appreciated.
Great Service. Attentive, friendly and polite.Good Food. Some items feel like they belong on their own separate bar menu, but we weren’t disappointed with anything that we ordered. Good portions, good flavor.
Everything was good! The staff was accommodating when we were late for our reservation due to road closures from the Ottawa protests. Our server was friendly and outgoing as well as quick. The drinks were good as well, with a large wine selection and some drinks on special. Everyone liked their food, and there were many unique items to choose from.
Food was tasty, service was fast and great. Will be going back :-)
We were visiting Ottawa from Montreal. I was amazed with the service that we received. Great hospitality and warm welcome by the host. Food was absolutely great. Presentation of the food was also great. I would like to specially appreciate Connor for the great service he rendered. He was absolutely passionate about the job and service.
