Ordered take-out on a Sunday evening. Portions aren't huge but we're big enough to satisfy without leftovers. Spent about 20$ per person for a main per person. Everything. Tasted good and was not too oily. One thing to note is that my roommate said the potatoes in the shepherds pie were layered potato slice and not mashed potatoes, maybe that more of the way they do it in restaurant but we are more used to mashed potatoes on shepherds pie. He says it was still tasty though.
We enjoyed a great supper tonight at the Royal Oak on Hunt Club. I just want to recommend the warm goat cheese salad with chicken it was excellent!A special thanks to Natasha our server, she was very outgoing and friendly!Great service!!!We have been going there for years and will continue to do so.
Speed of service : slow: We were a group of 20 and had specified time for lunch. The waitress took drinks order first and after 45min took our lunch order. By the time we all got our lunch we just had 25 min to eat and depart.Whereas our lunch order should have been taken with the drinks so we need not have to gulp the food.So no photo of the food, no time to click it :(
Service atmosphere and pub chips were great. Lobster Rolls were a bust. Don’t waste your money on them and order something else, anything else has to better then that.
The wraps and chocolate cake!
Went for breakfast at 11:00 am on a Saturday in March, 2022, and was given menus but there were no breakfast items listed. When we asked the waitress if we could order breakfast, she said yes of course, no problem. My 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, white toast, homefries and bottomless coffee was delicious. I was shocked when the bill came and it was only $11! I left $20 and felt it was worth every penny. Waitress was lovely, and the food was great. Highly recommend.
My sweetheart and I went there for dinner Sunday with another couple. We both enjoyed our meals, but our friends did not. I decided on the Sheppard's pie and my sweetheart had the 1 piece fish & chips. Both were delicious, hot and a good portion.
Your Fish & Chips have always been a favourite of ours and during pandemic we have used Skip Dishes regularly from Royal Oak’s 2 locations. I Was displeased with yesterday’s order of a 2 n single piece order w carrot cake because I paid extra 3.50$ Extra for Onion rings on larger order and I received 4.5 onion rings ?? I understand costs are up and we weekly support local businesses, but to see such a small amount, I was shocked ! Even the amount of fries provided was skimpy …
My boyfriend and I came out to the royal oak tonight for the first time for our anniversary and it was honestly such a wonderful environment. We had an amazing time and the bartender was SO friendly ( we sat at the bar ). The live music was unreal. We both had a great time and spent hours there. Excellent food and and drink. 100% we will be back!
You would think that during the first weekend to allow full capacity restaurants would be happy to have customers. Especially ones that are 3/4 empty. Met friends for lunch today. Drink order was wrong. Sent back for correction came back wrong. We bussed our own table when meal was done. We were two couples and paid our respective $70+ bills and chatted for a about 15 minutes (believe me NO ONE as beating down the door for a table) only to get a “friendly” visit from someone we assumed was the manager to clear the rest of our now empty glasses and be asked if we were “setting up camp here”. Bums rush at 2:30 in the afternoon. The intent was clear…it was time for us to leave. We did and discussed where else we could go next time…because not going back there.
