If you want a classic ? experience, this is the place to be. Great flavours, great service, great venue…basically great everything. They often run out of the custard flavour so you may need to get there early for that. Also, they use fresh mint from local gardens (and comp gardeners up to a pint for awesome looking mint!!!) so the mint flavours are spectacular too.
One of the best places you can get ice cream. A lovely place, super community focused, and high quality.They used to have a window where you didn’t have to go indoors. They don’t seem to use that much anymore though. They do limit the number of people allowed in the store which is good. There is almost always a line.
I have tried so many different kinds of ice cream here and they have all been amazing!! The lines can get long but it moves quick and is so worth it.
I can't believe I've lived in Ottawa for almost 10 years and never tried the Merry Dairy. The ice cream was so good, and they had a really great selection of flavors.The blueberry lemon was so good. It had such a great taste. The cookies and cream was also great. Staff were super friendly as well. There was a line but it was so worth the wait. Definitely will be back again
Loved, loved, loved this place. The hibiscus passion fruit ice cream was excellent. I had this at a party and it was so good. Will definitely go to the store and buy it. I wonder what other flavors they have. There were so many people that went to this food truck they ran out of most of their flavors.
One of the best ice cream shops in Ontario and maybe even Canada and I've been to a few ? through the years and am a self proclaimed ice cream expert. Their Rhubarb ice cream is brilliant even though it is a seasonal favorite and their Strawberry and Chocolate ice cream are also a favorites and don't even get me started on their Toasted Coconut Ice Cream which is perfection, absolutely fantastic and my all time favorite - my only suggestion is that they make it more often. Thanks for all you do!

We ordered ice cream from the Merry Dairy this week for my husband's birthday party. The whole process was wonderful from start to finish. Everyone we spoke to was kind and helpful. The ice cream was delicious, everyone loved it. It was a great experience. We loved the fact that everything was nut free and there were also lots of options for our gluten free and dairy free guests.
Ice cream was good but don't get the hype. Long line outdoors with about a 20min wait. Didn't realize you can order in advance and pick up at side window. Flavourful selection is small and by end of day they ran out of a couple. Limited ice cream cookie sandwiches available and wish we could customize. Also bought a pint too. It's good ice cream just not worth travelling far for it or waiting in line. Would go back if we were in the area and order ahead.
