The veggie pasta was ok. The Nachos and cheese was very dry and stiff and we could barely get the chips out of the cheese. The waiter was a friendly dude tho.
I found the pizza tasty and my wife absolutely loved her shrimp pasta. We had a couple of sangrias which were good, The service was attentive and the patio location was great.
Can't say enough, the service was great, atmosphere awesome. Our meals were fantastic. We have been in Ottawa for 3 days so far and this was best food yet!
2 visits in the past 5 weeks, one romantic date and the other a girls night out. I can't remember why I avoided this place years ago but they've been 2 for 2 and we were really impressed with the ambiance and friendly demeanor of the servers. Cocktail menu and taste is super. Best of all, I had to compromise and get a mushroom based pasta with my date because that's his favourite food and I'm glad we did. The mushroom pasta (the one without the truffles) was so delicious and possibly converted me into liking mushroom in pasta beyond veal marsala. In between waits, we'd take photos by the flowers on the terrasse, or chat with the host, or run over to the corner by beavertails to dance (and tip) the live Mariachi singer! The outdoors setup and design of the restaurant is great so you can choose to people watch or not and you're able to vape outside without being too far from your company. Highly recommended
The restaurant is located in the middle of Byward Market. The food was absolutely amazing! The pizza was wood oven pizza which is very delicious, the pasta was good too. All foods were just about right.The server was very nice and professional. We really enjoyed the food and definitely re-visit next time!
Ate at this pizzeria couple of times in the last 2 months and absolutely loved it! Their pizzas are wood fired and absolutely amazing. Had the pappardelle pasta with sausage which was very well made. Even the pizzas, Meat lovers and the chicken one were good! A must try is their Hot Sauce! It has a yummy garlic flavour in addition to of course, being hot ?
If you go during market hours, 3-6pm I believe, a good selection of the pizzas and drinks are half price. I would in all honesty have no issues paying full price though the pizza is that good. Good also came very quick. Add the basil pesto drizzled on top to your pizza if it doesn’t already have it, you won’t be disappointed.
Been here a few times over the years that a review is due. The place is Consistent and Busy. Good service given the overflow of tourists. Location, location, location means you pay 'tourist' prices for the food but hey, enjoy life. The food is overall good. The pizzas they make? do it.
great pizza and one will fill two ?
On a recent trip to Ottawa we finally tried this pizza place in the Bywatd market area. We have seen it many times but this time we decided to try it. We started with an appetizer of calamari. They were tasty. Next up our pizza and ceaser salad come. The pizza was good, but nothing special. The ceaser was also tasty but what amazes me us that a place like this still uses bagged croutons. I know other pizza places and they make their own and it really adds to salad. Service is just ok. Now that we have tried it no need to go back. But the terrace is great as king as the rain holds off.
