We sat in the beautiful courtyard on a warm summer's evening. It was the best place we found during our trip because no street people pestered us. It was pure class to be sitting there. See pics. We went during happy hour on a Wednesday; the happy hour menu is superb and very competitively priced. The duck flatbread was superb (see pic). As was the fried cauliflower. If the weather is good you must try this place, and make sure you choose the right area of the courtyard because there are 4 restaurants sharing the space. Our server Ihab was fantastic. This will be our lasting memory of the trip to Ottawa compared to the filth and beggars that seem to be prevalent in the ByWard Market area.

The atmosphere is great but it can get loud inside. The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the scotch egg. I would recommend for brunch or drinks and appetizers. The dinner menu does not have many options, but everything I had was excellent. I will be returning, especially to sit in their beautiful outdoor dining space.

Fantastic service and the food was simply amazing!! Come during happy hour and you get $3 Jameson and the pizza is $10!!! I got the smoked duck pizza and it was fantastic!!

Great ambience and great food. Tasty cocktails! All around great. However, we were really disappointed with the increase in meal price. Some of the items have almost doubled in cost. I understand the pandemic has been hard for restaurants but I found the increase in price to be quite extravagant. Despite the warm atmosphere and great food, I left feeling disappointed and knew that I wouldn’t be returning.

Overall experience was pretty nice! I especially liked the outdoor area! But most importantly food was tasty with good flavour !However I was disappointed with the size of my fried chicken…! 2 small pieces of fried chicken for a main plate is in my opinion too small!

First time for brunch. We sat on the patio on a beautiful Saturday morning. The sun was out, nice summer breeze and the birds were signing. Great outdoor atmosphere. The maple Buffalo chicken and waffles were well presented and most importantly, delicious. The orange pineapple mimosas were a the perfect side. Let’s not forget the friendly yet efficient service. Great way to start the weekend.

Great patio space in The Courtyard. Excellent food. I found the beer options to be a little lacking but there’s at least something tolerable for most people. One huge positive for us: they make their Sangria the same way as our favourite one which we discovered in Puerto Rico - made with Cognac! There were 2 other minor issue that contributed to my choosing 4/5. One was the chairs were metal and very uncomfortable and there were multiple items on the drink & food menus that weren’t available for whatever reason.

Ordered red velvet pancakes and Clarendon Breakfast. Food was slow coming out, although it was busy. The strawberries still had their leaves but otherwise the pancakes were fine. The Clarendon Breakfast said buttered sourdough, it was just plain, the bacon was cooked to a crisp, which is fine except it had a burnt taste to it, and the home fries were absolutely covered in salt.

Very nice tavern suitable for either a quiet cozy dinner or a sports bar atmosphere. The staff are friendly and service is very good. They have a good selection of area beers. They have excellent happy hour deals. Prices are generally reasonable even if portions are slightly small. We had a couple of their pizzas which were great and chicken wings which were good. We will be back!

Absolutely LOVED the aesthetic of this place. One of the most appropriately price restaurants in downtown Ottawa. Great food, good service, several drink options. 10/10 recommend.
