Brought a friend this evening who knew nothing about Indian cuisine. Ray was our host and he took the time to explain the food to my friend, and ... Ray also suggested an excellent NZ SavBlanc wine (excellent choice). Love Thali and of course the original Coconut Lagoon.

Nice atmosphere, great service, well balanced wine list, good food. Place was packed, as always. We had Vada, Papardum, Thali and drinks. Not our first visit, we'll be back.

We visited in August while we were in Ottawa- couldn’t wait to go back. First night in Ottawa this trip- we were there! The food, the service and the room all deserve 5 stars! It was a fantastic experience again. Highly recommend.

Very good food. We got lamb thalis and it was very good.We asked for cheek peas and we had it without charge.Location is great, the restaurant modern and the service very very good. They are fancy but they are amazing.

Went there for a solemn memorial dinner for a departed family member. We’re treated like family. Food was amazing. Can’t wait to return under happier circumstances.

My husband and I ate here on November 7, 2021. We were in Ottawa only for the weekend, and we read great reviews for this place. My husband is a big fan of thalis, so he was obviously very excited.I had a bit of a mixed experience here. The place is beautiful and the service was great. We both ordered non-veg thali which came with a bowl of rice and 1 tawa roti. I really liked every dish, especially the mushrooms. However, the biggest dampener on the meal was that the "tawa roti" was literally the store-bought frozen chappatis we get at home. I really was not able to enjoy my meal because of that. The rice was disappointing as well, it felt a little dry. However, I was able to communicate my disappointment with the manager. I am not the one to call managers to complain about food, but he was going from table to table asking for feedback, and he thanked me. I am also impressed that he did not try to refute me. Their service really is very good (would that lead to any change in the menu? Perhaps not, if I am the only person who minds the frozen chappati). Also, my husband had a gala time. He loved everything and he finished everything on the thali! He didn't eat the roti but he didn't mind the rice.

The thali was good, and so is the Malabar paratha. However, the quantity of the other dishes (starters) was less.

5 star because of the customer service and presentation of the food. It's an great environment for family dinner or with friends. The food was okay some dishes are very bland. If you like indian food but not spicy then it's a perfect restaurant for you.I would say it's a fancy Indian restaurant.

Picked up takeout and was blown away. This may be the best Indian food I have EVER had. Will definitely be visiting Ottawa again just so I can dine here again!

A wonderful ambiance and a good service! We were craving for a thali food in Ottawa and came across this restaurant. Sadly, the Food did not taste like what we expected. The portions were quite small and there were no salt and spices in food. We are ok without spices, but we want flavor which it completely lacked. The rotis tasted like the frozen ones. No salad and pickles in the thali. We just could not eat 3 veges from that thali as they were just sooo tasteless. Very expensive for the quality and quantity of the food we got.Overall, if you have desi tastebuds, I won’t recommend it.
