Tried their Kamayan feast for 1-2 as take away and can't comment on their atmosphere or service. Food was amazing and portions very generous. I shared this meal with a friend and it was enough to put both of us into a food coma after. Flavours were delicate. The crispy milk fish was probably the best part of the box. Will definitely keep on my list to try again, dining in.
ambience was good and good food quality and serving,,staff welcoming
Really great food. Loved the variety. We got one of the special platters, you need to order in advance. It came with fish, garlic shrimps (so good!), a pork skewer, tomatoes and oranges, grilled eggplant, mango salad, rice, Filipino pork spring rolls (Lumpia!!! Yesss). Plus it had some housemade plum sauce, soya sauce and fish/acidic sauce for dipping.Highly recommend if you have never had Filipino food.
The food was so delicious! I'm familiar with Pandan and was really looking forward to the pancakes and they did not disappoint! Perfect amount of flavour and so fluffy! The Filipino sausage was so tasty too. I love the marinade. My friend got the Tami's brunch and some garlic rice and loved it too. We got some ube cake at the end and it was super moist and tasty. Our waiter was extremely nice and talkative too. Only gripe is it took us over 30 minutes to get the food and we were hungry!!! Overall, food is amazing but expect to wait especially during Sunday brunch.
Looking for an authentic unique brunch experience. This spot offers a delicious filipino brunch with a western twist. Food is great ??- 1 star for the wait time to get the food as they get busy on the weekends and order takes a bit longer than average. Service on the other side was on point.
I come for the brunch. This is the first Philippine style restaurant I have ever been to, got a really special experience. I love the seasoning of the food here. The marinated steak is really special and taste really good. The pancake is complete Philippine style. I am not sure all people gonna enjoy it but I love it and it worth to try:). The only downside is the waiting time. The day I visited it took me over 45 mins.
Food are delicious. Friendly servers.
IT'S ABOUT TIME!My wife and I have tried many venues and as far as Ottawa is concerned, for Filipino cooking, Tamis Café is it!We used to travel all the way to Montréal and Toronto because there were no decent choices in the region. We've tried some places locally where the food was good, but it was so americanise and it did not taste like authentic pinoy food, so I'm glad we've discovered Tamis Café on Bank Street right in the heart of Ottawa. The food was excellent and the business owner even came to see us and, he threw a few jokes to liven' up the room, just like an authentic filipino, he and his staff were very welcoming. This filipino restaurant gets my highest recommendation of all places in the region, you will not regret it!Thanks for the great food and service, we'll be back!
was there on Saturday. Wonderful food, excellent service, not too crowded. Could not ask for anything better
Great service, great food and great vibe! Definitely would come back ??
