Awesome food and great prices. We were a group of 10 and everything was great from the seating to the food quality. All the entrees we ordered were well prepared and adequate quantity.
First time there but I will be back. Great atmosphere, super fish & chips (one piece is very generous) and excellent service despite being a very busy Saturday with a British car club in attendance. Definitely felt like a proper pub.
Always went here for the great fish and chips for the last 10+ years. Went last week and it seems they have changed their batter for some reason. Yes it is crispy and flaky, so flaky it just comes off and doesn't hold the fish together, very crunchy. Didn't like it at all. So disappointed that they changed the batter, now have find somewhere else to go. Not sure if this was a one off and someone screwed with the batter. Also shocked that with some items you can't just order a simple side of sweet potatoes fries, only a full order of over $8 added to the dish. No complaints about the service, great as usual, will miss the place.
My husband and I go out on Tuesday's for date night we try to go somewhere different and tonight we tried The Swan and it was so good. The place was packed but we were seated within 10 minutes. The waitress was awesome gave us some suggestions and she was bang on. The food was great .Fries are amazing I would go there just for them. Staff were so friendly will definitely go back.
I have been going for years and years and have enjoyed many happy times there. Now the pandemic is receding it seemed people wanted to get out and break bread and socialize again and it was packed on Wing Night. I tried the new (to me) Butter Chicken and thought it was good. It will be even better soon as they getting Nan to accompany it.
Nice dinner, sat by the fireplace,was cozy and warm.Great meal.
Great little pub hidden away from the big city. Fish and chips are amazing, staff was very friendly and kept the drinks topped off. We had a blast
It was fine...I had the fish and chips...homemade fries, the coating on the fish was excellent. However the steak and mushroom pie was a disappointment for the person who ordered it at our table. There was corn in the mixture which was not specified on the menu. The homemade are the best!
Impeccable quality! My family took me here for my birthday, and it was definitely worth every penny. Great portions, value, atmosphere and incredible service. 100% recommend for special occasions, and for anything else really.
Another gem we stumbled upon. Had no idea what to expect & we sure had no regrets. Delicious food, fantastic service & reasonably priced. We'll definitely be stopping in again.
