Bubble tea is not that great...tapioca pearls are either hard or too soft and sticky. Sushi is okay
So not a good experience. It tried calling to place my order. 8 calls and a half hour later, they answer. I place my order and ask for enough ginger and soy, in the past never had enough… and with emphasis on ginger, and she says she can give extra for a $1 charge. I inform her it’s ok i’ll see how much the regular amount is and maybe i will ask for extra.I arrive and the restaurant and it’s empty lol…. Now i get with covid things are different, but not answering the phone like that is just unacceptable. I ask her why they did not answer, and it was not really an answer she gave me, other then signalling for me to pay. She did say they were only 2 staff, which I can sympathize with, but answer the phone!?Anyway, I am shown the trays of sushi, two to be exact, and the ginger in each tray seemed like way more then enough…. Maybe even too much….. so I pay and leave….I get home only to realize I had two extra containers of ginger on top of both trays being filled?! Lol honestly enough ginger for 100 pieces or more, I was charged that $1 that I clearly said over the phone to wait till I see the amounts… not to be difficult but I had learned from previous experiences there that they had never given enough….so yeah I do not appreciate a charge I did not approve, regardless of cost…. Principal! Simple.All that to say, I hope they have enough ginger for other customers, I fear they gave me all of it lol … oh and the overall taste of sushi was not as I remembered it, sticky rice just not that good for my money?! Unfortunate, they used to be good, now below average. Way better sushi elsewhere.As of the writing of this added thought, I have not received a reply from the email provided by the owner, which I sent 4 days ago…. Lol whatever…. Word of mouth on here will not help…. Otherwise could careless…. Many better sushi restaurants in Ottawa.Seems like some forget why people post these…. To help guide others, so mistakes are not made. Spend your money wisely I say!!
Overall it was pretty good sushi. The crispy sumomaki especially was amazing and I'd probably go back just for that. Wasn't super into their spicy crab sumomaki but it was free with a coupon so I can't complain.The bubble tea wasn't really worth it if I'm being honest. Could have used more ice and softer tapioca. The sushi more than makes up for it though so I'll definitely go back

I ordered $90 worth of sushi gave them 2 hour notice and asked for the sushi to come in the white square boxes they offer or the ones displayed on the website. The lady over the phone said yes and there was a charge for the box? Ok fine I’ll take the charge! Even though I’m taking the order to go like how else would you give your clients 75 pieces of sushi? I got to the store it was in a plastic round container and the sushi was stacked over each other which ruined the bottom half of the sushi the rice was very sticky they were falling apart. When I asked the lady at the cash for the other container she gave me attitude and told me they only offer the round containers.Bad customer serviceSushi quality was always mediocre at this location but this time it was terrible.Trust me I’m a good blogger with 20k followers on Instagram and 11k on TikTok there are many other spots to get better sushi and better service. If I was the franchise of this location I would either restructure and reassess the business or pull the franchise away from this location look at all the bad reviews.If I’m paying $90 to eat it better be good quality made with care and I better get good customer service.And yes I will go out of my way to post these bad reviews everywhere about this spot enough is enough!Will never step foot in there again! I’ll take my business somewhere else.
I’ve usually ordered Uber eats from this sushi shop a few times now and the sushi had usually been decent. Yesterday was concerning. The salmon was a pale in colour and had an odd taste; I could really tell because I got the spicy salmon hosomaki, that they forgot to actually put any spicy mayo on. The rice was a bit mushy in consistency. Overall was disappointing and had to throw out most of it because it was just gross. Which is sad. Took them about an hour to make my order of 3 rolls before the Uber guy even picked it up. Def not keeping in standards of the sushi shop franchise in sushi quality. Too bad there isn’t better sushi options in the south end here. No competition around is not good incentive for a business to keep up standards I guess. pay the extra delivery dollars and order from downtown for the good stuff.
This place is NOT it. They gave me the wrong rolls and were very rude when I asked for it to be exchanged only to come home and see I was given the wrong roll again. Never coming here again. Save your money and time.
The food is fine, and the staff are nice. they can sometimes take a while, but it's not a big deal. However, the bubble tea here is not very good- especially the pearls, which tend to be either really hard or falling apart entirely. It's not terrible but not worth it for how expensive it is.
I'm only making a rating because I have run into problems one too many times with this particular Sushi Shop.Today, when I walked in 5mins early to pick up my order, the two ladies at the front were actually yelling at each other. When I asked if my order was ready the angier lady told me it would be 15 more mins. I was already running on borrowed time (not their fault!), but to say the least, I did NOT have an extra 15mins to spare. They were rude about it, also. What's more is that they couldn't even refund my order! I had placed an order through Skip the Dishes. So I had to get in touch with the app people to actually get my money back.I gave 2 stars today because:- this business needs to be more organized- or have more staff- they need to learn BASIC greeting skills and customer relation skills- they need to take blame when they are at faultLike I said, this is not the first time I have had these exact issues with this particular Sushi Shop. Just my experiences ?♀️
Staff are not wearing their mask properly, I already ask her to put her mask properly before preparing my order but she didn't pay much attention and they keep on talking while doing my food I'm not sure if she splattered some saliva on my food pls.. pay much attention covid are very serious
