I was here celebrating my birthday with my husband, and this restaurant really made an impression on us - so much so we came back the next day for my nephew's birthday! The staff were friendly, attentive, and worked well together. The atmosphere is vibrant, comfortable, and the vibe is relaxed/upscale. We came back the second day at a busy time and this restaurant went out of their way to seat us (which we really appreciate). In the two days, we tried their house made bread, 30 oysters (Very fresh, they did a great job at explaning each oyster), the classic beef tartare, the tomato & strawberries with stracciatella & Basil, squid ink rigatoni, spaghetti with meatballs, black truffle and ricotta cappellacci, and the strozzapreti Verde with fennel sausage ragu, and the steelhead trout. We finished both days with a cream cheese gelato topped with elderberry liqueur & edible flowers (the best dessert in Ottawa 1000/10).Everything was absolutely delicious, and you can taste the freshness.Ps. An upscale hipster restaurant experience. Helpful staff creating a very intentionally crafted experience with some thoughtful touches like:- Signature Caesar garnished with an oyster+- Oysters with three incredible sauces- Fresh doughy bread with compliments- When we were finishing our pasta, we were offered bread to soak up the sauce (nice touch)!Recommend:- Caesar- Fennel sausage ragu
Supply and Demand is a sublime experience. The food is fresh and bright. Our server was knowledgeable and provided spot on recommendations. Moreover it’s both a casual and fine dining experience. I’d feel comfortable being in jeans but the service is impeccable, cleaning up your table in between and keeping water filled. Supply and Demand deserves all the accocolades.

In all my trips to ottawa , every time I wasn’t able to get a reso… until this time a table actually opened up! So glad I was able to try this place ?Ambience is quite dark but cosy… and the food is absolutely fantastic. Featuring:-yellowfin tuna crudo w/lemon, truffle oil, puffed rice and cilantro-fried brussel sprouts w/ cashew cheese, soffrito and puffed quinoa-squid ink rigatoni w/tuna and prosciutto meatballs- ricotta and taleggio caramelle w/ pumpkin, brussel leaves, sage and brown butterAnd of course for dessert we have Eton Mess~Everything is flavoured beautifully and the fresh pasta was just incredible. And that dessert. Oh my god. So good, and so light, Simply amazing ? Will definitely have to come back here again!
Lovely dinner tonight at Supply and Demand. Great mix of seafood and non-seafood dishes. The drink menu is extensive, especially the gin and tonics. Service is really on point. Very comfortable atmosphere and a generally good vibe. One of the nicest meals we've had in a long time.
I came here to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and attentive (on point with the refills). The food was excellent in terms of quality and flavour (the squid ink rigatoni was a flavour and texture explosion in my mouth) and portion sizes were just right. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy, it felt packed but not suffocating like sardines in a can. The music wasn't too loud either and the ambient conversations didn't get too noisy (I didn't have to raise my voice to talk). Bathroom was also clean and had thick napkins to dry hands. Overall, it was a fantastic outing.
Ottawa’s best for pasta, oysters, and tuna. The complimentary rotating butter and bread is always a highlight. Might have moved to this neighbourhood because of incredible local restaurants like Supply & Demand. Love this spot, the atmosphere is fantastic and the food even better. We've ordered takeout several times in the last couple years and it's been so nice to have a delicious pick-me-up. The dinner rolls, kale salad, and squid ink rigatoni are it for me. Thank you for keeping on through all the tough times! We love having you in the neighbourhood.
A truly wonderful Ottawa restaurant! Fantastic homemade pasta dishes as well as wonderful appetizers like their kale salad and tartare. Highly recommend giving them a try! We have eaten there a half dozen times and it's always been delicious. Their meal for two takeout was also a blessing during the pandemic! Can't wait to go back!
