I was hoping this would be better than some of the other reviews. The level of salt in all of our dishes was just crazy! (And I LIKE salt). The calamari was loaded as were the fries. My son and his friend both got the ramen and it was definitely not up to par at any noodle house we have been to in the past. The Chicken Bao was small and really nothing to talk about - OH - and at $39 for the dish you would THINK it would come with rice? NOPE... add on $5 for some not very tasteful rice. I was totally underwhelmed with everything but the Fish taco ($16 for two small). For a total of $241.26 (NOT including tip) I can honestly say - I won't go back to Sidedoor unless just for their happy hour cocktails and taco.. Just not worth the cash for that kind of a meal. Service was ok. Understaffed so I am being lenient - but a few smiles, a joke or just some acknowledgement that there were 4 people that were going to be leaving a 20% tip on a very underwhelming meal would have been good. Hmmmm.
I've been four times now, but I have to say my first visit was by far the best. It's gone a bit downhill since, with my last visit being perhaps the most disappointing: the table was sticky, the dishes set out on the table were dirty, and the food was kind of so-so. Overall, I did have a nice experience but they're not quite keeping the same standard as I experienced during my first visit back in September 2021. Hope they find their way back cause that was outstanding.
We had a wonderful time at the Sidedoor restaurant. Sebastian was an outstanding waiter. The food was absolutely delicious.
Food is good and patio is nice. But patio way too crowded with tables - neither of us could get out of our chairs without bumping into both tables beside us. No AC inside.
Love Sidedoor. The food is always top-notch and service is great! Enjoyed our meal and drinks on their beautiful patio.
We had the best service Iâd had in a very long time. No AC wasnât ideal but food, beverage and service made up for it!
Everything was good exept the rice was too cook. The service was EXCELLENTE!
They would of outshined themselves if for not bringing the main dish before the appetizers. But once all the food was in the table , it was great to share dishes among the 3 of us ! The food was very flavourful and beautiful presentation. Great experience overall.
Excellent restaurant with several vegan and vegetarian choices. The menu reads unusual but the food is very pleasing .the appetizer tacos have unusual choices such as Baja fish and dalh fritter, both very good choices. First time I had a Vietnamese pancake and it was very tasty. Strongly recommend the coconut fritter as a vegetarian main choice.it is also gluten free. All in all an excellent restaurant
Amazing experience!! Loved the Spicy Beef tacos and the fries
