Hi,I’ve ordered Soltani, Shami, Torsh kabab. The foods were so tasty! Everything was fine! But the number of staff was not enough, so it takes time!P.S: I want to add an extra note, I really enjoyed how they behave! When they found it takes time, the chief brought us Ferny! So nice behave! Next time I come to Ottawa, I will come again here! Highly recommended
First time there last night it was really busy. Waited an hour to get a table and when we got one one of the waitresses said there not taking anymore orders. Then sara who’s also a waitress said that’s not fair and processed to take our order. She was really sweet and kind. If it wasn’t for Sara I wouldn’t go back again. Awesome lady!
I ordered some food to take out and when I got home realized they forgot to give me the naans and then I called them like 7-8 times to ask for refund but no answer, you can’t even leave a voice msg cuz it’s not setup. and no one got back to me, it’s been 5 days now.Their service during covid is just so so, before was great. Last year went in with family and we waited 45 mins no one served us and we decided to leave. Then the server was like “You guys are leaving you didn’t order anything yet.”I said we waited almost an hour no one came to us and as you see you guys are not even busy like two tables that’s it.
I saw good reviews for this place and went to dine in and try it out. The service was so so, the waitress was polite but not very attentive. DON'T EVER order kabab torsh, the meat smelled disgusting and I had to ask them to change it. They blamed the marinade and me not liking it (like its my first time eating it!), but at least made some effort to replace it by shami kabab which was ok. That is why I gave two starts and not zero ones. I am a foodie, and I can't stand a restaurant that has no standards and unfortunately this place was a dissapointment. There are much better Afghani restaurant in town and I won't come back to this one for sure.
In all honesty not sure where the good reviews came from. We waiting extra long for our food, the plates that were given to us were dirty and sticky. The chicken we got, some of it was pink. We then got charged for an extra dish we did not order, we asked how much would it be if we added a chicken curry on the side and the waiter said $16, when we got our bill we got charged for that chicken curry even though we didn’t get it. The waiter claimed she only charged us for the curry $3 but she said she would charge us $16, my father calculated the bill and we were charged $25 extra for no reason. When my father tried to run down the bill with the waiter she got frustrated and was not understanding. lastly the waiter came to interrogate us on why we didn’t add a tip. Simple, the service was horrible and the food wasn’t good.
Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Samar has the entire recipe for a great time. The kabab was tender and tasty from start to end. Their food is very delicious and simply cannot be missed. The mango lassi is fresh and delightful choice. Samar kabab is not to be missed. You should try the buffet and you will love the food. Thanks to Arezo for the amazing service.

I bought the Shami kebob and Mantou and they were delicious. Their home made hot sauce and bread are amazing, they have a distinct flavour and spice. This makes all the other hot sauces at the other afghan restaurants seem like average. I am sure it was the owner who served me, very nice guy. I won't be going to any other afghan restaurants anymore, this is the one. But please, don't change or change your quality.
Nope. Dry meats. Waaaay waaaay over priced. Salad was 99.91% lettuce. Very disappointing. We ordered the 4 person family combo...all 4 of us didn't like it. Didn't finish it.
Fantastic food everytime I've ordered. Very helpful staff that are willing to explain or recommend dishes to me, since I'm not familiar with Afghani food.
