I had the Pad Kee Mao based on the recommendation of the hostess. I like things on the spicy side and this was perfect.Definitely worth a repeat visit next time I am in the Ottawa area.Many other items on the menu that look inviting.
I cannot recommend this place enough! The pad Thai and yellow curry are my all time favourites. If you want delicious Thai food go here!!!
We called ahead to understand if we could come at 8pm. She mentioned last order before 8:30pm, but didn’t mention that half of the menu is not available
It was okay. A bit on the pricier side for what you get but will give it another shot. The chicken in the Gaeng Garee Gai didn't seem to be properly de-boned. The panang was good.
I ordered the Pad Thai and the Thai Basil Chicken. Both were excellent. This was my first visit but I'll be back.
I've used Sala Thai to feed a small office staff twice; both times the food was hot and fresh, the orders were perfectly accurate and the take-out service was fast, friendly and accommodating. An excellent Thai food choice in Ottawa.
Amazing! Service was great, ambiance was lovely. The food was delicious. The person working at the front, possibly the owner? Was very friendly, and attentive. I would most definitely go again.
On a visit to Ottawa for a junior hockey game my friend and I picked Sala Thai because it was close to where we parked our car. What a good choice it was - the food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
Ordered 3 different curries, pad thai and the tom yum soup. The curries were amazing, especially the green curry. Keow warn and sapparot were a bit spicy. Tom yum soup is a clear broth, instead of red, as others have said so it was confusing, but the taste is similar. The pad thai was okay for us. They do offer halal options for all the chickens in the menu, which is really great so thank you for having that.
Hands down the best Thai food I have ever had in my life! Could literally eat this every day.We had the Gai Pad Med Mamuang, Pad Kee Mao and Pad Siew. ???? my favourite was the Pad Kee Mao—- very similar to the “Cashew Chicken” I usually get at other (less-authentic) Thai restaurants.So.full.of.flavour!!!Was so impressed by the customer service as well. I phoned my order in, and the lady called me by my first name as though she knew me when I picked it up.Really just went above and beyond… can’t wait to visit again.
