One of the best Pho restaurants I've ever tried, not just in Ottawa, but across Ontario (including Toronto). Service is always on point, very respectful and kind. Food is phenomenal!
Was ok. Nothing special. I got the grilled pork on rice vermicelli but the pork wasn't grilled nicely and it wasn't crispy. Fatty chewy parts throughout with that off putting swine taste.Server was very nice, but service was slow and disjointed, as in ppl were waiting 10 mins after others had already been served.Won't go back.
Delicious, just perfect. Got the rare beef pho and I have 0 complaints. Preparation was quick. I asked for some extra limes on the side, and cilantro in the broth which they don’t usually put and they did it all. Will be coming back for sure
Went with a chicken broth/cooked meat soup on account of walking in the cold home and not wanting to rely on broth still being able to cook rare beef - it did not disappoint! Really balanced mix of carefully made but generous parts, broth was pleasantly hot and all came together deliciously :)
Mmmm this place is a must go!! My favorite place to get amazing pho. The broth is so flavorful and delicious & the veggies are always fresh! Highly recommend this gem ❤ staff is also very friendly
One of my main Go-To's for rice plates. The Pho is a much lighter and none fishy/salty flavoured. Service is always friendly. Owner is a genuinely nice guy.
The food is always so gooood and fresh, and the service is so sweet. The owners and staff are so welcoming, and they are all as warm and wonderful as their food. A staple spot for amazing pho.
This is my go to pho place in Ottawa! My #1 and #2 falls far behind this place. Their pho and Vietnamese rice noodle are so delicious. Tastes very authentic and their meats are cooked very well. I always recommend it when someone asks me what to eat in Chinatown. Keep up the good work Saigon Boy!
New year’s Day 2021… that’s when my obsession with pho, or more accurately, the pho from this restaurant, began! Most restaurants were closed, but not this one. You can always count on Saigon Boy Noodle House to be open (except on Tuesdays, sadly). I usually grab the flank beef pho, and it always hits the spot, putting a smile on my face. I have tried countless other pho places that led me to believe I was not too fond of pho, but this place gave me a whole new perspective. The broth is incredibly flavourful and rich, the noodles are perfectly tender, and the meat basically melts in your mouth (especially if you get the brisket). On top of that, it’s usually ready in 15 minutes! Unfortunately, they don’t deliver (which might be a good thing, because I would go broke), but they do takeout.Don’t waste your time; check out this hidden gem!
This is my go to Vietnamese spot. Despite other reviews saying it's run of the mill, it's not. The broth is delicious and portions plentiful. I have numbers memorized that I love to order! 32 or 44 can't go wrong!
