I organized a birthday dinner at Play, upstairs in a closed off area. The service was impeccable from the beginning to the end. I dealt with Chloe who is the events coordinator, and she made the planning process so easy. She was so accommodating and always prompt in responses. It was also a first time for our friends, and they were left beyond impressed. We chose a selected menu and the food was great. I highly recommend for groups. Thank you Play for making my husband’s birthday so memorable! We’ll definitely be back.
So happy to be back!! Family Friday supper...something for everyone. Amazing scallop crudo & smoked duck carpaccio for moi....hubby enjoyed the chanook salmon & his favorite soy marinated hanger steak. Great wine pairing, ambiance. Our 16 year old enjoyed cauliflower soup with sourdough bread! Our server made her a really nice mocktail pink lemonade. Always a favorite!!! Thank you Steve Beckta and team for such a consistent and amazing experience.
A colleague and I had a great dinner at Play recently. Great service and ambiance, plus wonderful food as always. We shared the cheese and charcuterie platter, the fish cake and the gnocchi, and all were delicious.
Delicious food, fabulous wine list, superior service. Every. Single. Time. Play is definitely a go-to for us. But we love all three Beckta properties. Try once. Return often.
Great service, excellent food, fast and friendly service. The small plates are fun for sharing and trying lots of different things. Great wine choices and suggestions for pairing. Price was high but matched the quality and experience. Lived up to the hype - highly recommend!
We went for Valentines day and had a great time. The food was amazing, service was great and the drinks were delicious. Would highly recommend. I wish I took pictures of the food but I ate it too fast it looked so good.
Amazing Valentines dinner experience with phenomenal service and tasty dishes. My absolute favourite was the gnocchi it was so flavourful and tender. The pork belly was very tasty, scallops were great, both cocktails were delicious. I suppose they change up the way the ingredients were cooked because our scallops seemed like a sashimi version and I notice the previous reviews gnocchi had popcorn? HahaWe asked about the taste of the fig cocktail because we didn’t want a strong alcohol taste and they fixed us up with a version that was mild!The cheese board was fun and soup was creamy! 10/10
Just had the most lovely Valentines dinner with my Girlfriend here! Brandon was a fantastic server, very knowledgeable about the wine and dishes served here, atmosphere was delightful and we had a wonderful experience! We will definitely be coming back !
A magical experience after such a long time of social distancing for our Dream Team! Jocelyne arranged every covid-safe detail along with an incredible dining experience upstairs for our private party. Everyone raved about the food, awesome servers and the ambiance. It couldn't have gone better, thank you PLAY!
This is our “go to” place for great food and wine in a lively unpretentious atmosphere. Service was excellent and food was delicious as always!
