This used to be my fav pho place in Ottawa. It was always so fresh and very well priced. Well I don’t know what happened, if they changed owners or something but things changed quit dramatically. The chicken is hard as rock like really old and reused or something. And worst of all, they charged me $3 for asking for dipping sauce and chop sticks when I ordered. When you order Uber eats, the price is already hiked up quite a bit so to charge for dipping sauce and chopped sticks that I would be getting for free if I dined there is ridiculous. I hope that $3 was worth losing a customer who usually spends $200 at your restaurant every winter!
The people there are warm and welcoming, food is always amazing and tasty! I love this place
Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 6 and the restaurant easily accommodated us even though we didn't have a reservation. I ordered the medium Pho Tai Chin (#4 on menu) and it was delicious! The portions are generous and service was friendly. There are many "Pho Bo Ga's" on Somerset but this is one of the best and I consider it authentic Vietnamese.
I ordered from them using Uber eats. I was so shocked that they adjusted my order and charged me 3 dollars and change because my note asked for soya sauce and chop sticks. How the hell are you supposed to eat, with your hands? It is not advertised on their website that soya sauce and chop sticks are an extra charge. What a scam.I have no idea why I gave this place another chance. When the last time I was there. Some older man was sleeping on two chairs while the rest of the family was playing cards.
We have ordered before and enjoyed it, but we won’t eat here again. We are a group of four and just got terrible food. Undercooked freezer burnt dumplings, soggy spring rolls- we threw a lot of the meal in the garbage. So many other better places. If our meal is the new normal, this place will loose all their stars. Terrible.
Nice place in Chinatown, parking is a challenge. They have big variety of food and prices are decent (12 for small 15 for large). The food was tasty and the place is clean . My only comment is I ordered a dish with carb but I got no crabs. Very quick service but not enough staff to deal with the demand . We waited for someone to get us the bill but they were busy and we had to go to the counter to pay . I recommend
Good and fast service. Good food and portions. We both were happy, satisfied and full with our meals (Bun 8 and rare beef with meatballs vermicelli noodle soup)
I went there last night, and I can easily say that this is the best pho in the city. The pho is of very good quality. The portions are very, very generous. I was full with only a small! The service was fast and the staff was very friendly.
Service is almost non-existent, they give you a piece of paper and never talk to you ever again. They’re very efficient though and gets done quickly, you just have to get their attention.Flies are common in here which is a little bothersome. They do not really care for your vaccination, we didn’t even have to show proof to come in, they just took our word.Price was originally intimidating, especially compared to all the other restaurants around, but I can confidently say that the price is a great representation of its value, the quality and quantity is perfect. Each bowl of food is pack with protein and flavour, and they are very generous with there servings. Food also came out incredibly quickly and hot. They have been here for more than 20 years for a good reason, and I don’t see them leaving anytime soon.
Pretty decent authentic pho restaurant!Phos were tasty, but slightly on the saltier side of phos I’ve had.The coconut shake was delicious!
