I am a sushi chef in toronto for 10 yearsI'm travelling to ottawa now with my wife. and I visited to this restaurant and had some 2 chef's sushi menu, dynamite roll, and shrimp tempura with my wife.taste like so trash.1. He(Chef) did not use mixed up rice with sushi vinigar sauce. he was making sushi with regular worst rice.2. services are so worst. even server didn't show up to us.3. miso soup and salad are basic of japanese foods for serving. they did not serve anything.4. rice, bottom of fish(sushi) is sooo big!!! a lot lot of rice. do you think is that right?5. prices are so high and wasteI didn't give a tip. I think it is miracle that you guys are still working that restaurant.I hope nobody comes to this restaurant never!!!I am so shame of those foods as a chef.
Got the Bikini roll and veg miso soup for pick-up, didn’t have to wait too long and they were friendly just busy.Soup was still hot after walking home and didn’t spill, the roll was perfect and made to order as requested w/o the radish. Tasted very fresh and came with a delicious ginger sauce instead of just soya. Will come back sometime
I have ordered takeout from the sushi restaurant several times and yesterday was the first opportunity I had to dine in. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the decor was shabby at best. The server was very kind and the sushi platters themselves were quite tasty. There was a lot of the artificial crab Chris mayonnaise which are not ones I prefer however I understand they are cost-effectiveAdditionally the prices had all gone up a few dollars since the last time I was there which is understandable after covid and the trucker convoy that did a lot of damage to the Ottawa downtown businesses.
Good value in a sushi and sashimi place in downtown Ottawa at Lyon and Laurier. Their combos are a decent value. Friendly owners. The fish on their sushi are larger than most relative to the rice. Freshness is there. Has a steady stream of locals from the residential buildings around.
Honestly, probably one of the best take put spots in downtown, the quality and amount of fish is fantastic. So fresh but you get what you pay for.Expect to pay 200$ for a nice dinner for 4 people.Highly recommended
Our dinner here sadly didn’t meet our expectations. The rolls and sashimi were decent. I liked how thick the sashimis were. But I don’t think the quality and the size were proportional to the price. We ordered a poke bowl as the second timeThe miso soup was very bland, almost watery. The female server wasn’t so attentive. She wasn’t rude or anything of sort, but she rarely visited us to take our orders, and when she did come to take our second order, she didn’t bother to take the huge stacked dishes off our table. So later when the poke bowl did come, we had few empty dishes blocking our way while eating the bowl.I would kindly suggest more employee training.
Delicious sushi! I've only ever ordered takeout, but it's always been great. In this photo I had the Sake Hosomaki, Rainbow Futomaki, Ottawa Maki. All with salmon, my fave.
One of the most amazing sushi place in the city. Loved the food there!! Would highly recommend this place to people who love sushi!!
When you crave Sushi on a MONDAY you go here!!! We had the 42 piece Sashimi, the Atlantis Rolls and the Green salad. Generous sized fish, fresh, delicious!! The owner even made us a special dessert to help us celebrate our 29th anniversary ♥ We will definitely be going back again & again!!!
Fabulous food! Small intimate restaurant! Wonderful staff! Take out or eat in - always yummy… tonight I had the salmon poke bowl… WOW best poke I have ever had!!!
