This restaurant is a gem in Ottawa. A little out of the way but worth the drive the food and service are both phenomenal. We ordered the fried cheese curds, it was so light and crispy. The kale salad was full of flavors. The steak was prepared perfectly. All and all great experience.

Wow! What an experience! Thank you so much chef Blackie, your creativity and attention to detail is second to none. My wife and I came last night for a rare date night and had the best culinary experience to date! My wife and I enjoyed your 7 course chefs choice and it did not disappoint! Your waiter Marshall was fantastic and very friendly. But probably the best part was when you made a custom soup on the spot because my wife was allergic to coconut. Even while you had a full house, and we had no idea what we were going to get you still went above any beyond to make something special for us when you could have easily taken the easy route and just skipped the soup. Great job!!! We definitely recommend your restaurant!

It will be bad to keep this alone to myself. I came across the best Forex, Crypto and Binary expert ever, in person of Mr. Ethan Payne who really helped me to invest and managed my trade account. He is very honest and diligent in his work. All I did was invest $1000 and within 7 days he made $6,800 profit for me. You can also invest safely with him and come back to thank me later. there are no hidden charges, and withdrawals are made directly to your bank account. Contact him via WhatsApp:+1 (256) 215-1536 E-mail:[email protected]

I was seeking out a restaurant to celebrate with my co-designer on a project we worked on and I discovered NeXT. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were greeted with a lively atmosphere and very pleasant staff. We decided to order the 9 course tasting menu in hopes to sample what the restaurant had to offer. When the first dish was set on the table I knew we had made the right choice! All the food that was brought to the table was magnificent and I can't recommend the fried cheese curds enough. I will definitely be visiting NeXT again to try some more of their marvelous food.

Best place to go on a date that your really trying to impress. Romantic beautiful place, if you take the shared tasting menu you will try the most popular dishes so your guaranteed to enjoy, both times I went different menu & enjoyed it just as much. Shared menu takes a bit of time, you will probably be there for 2 hours, great spot to talk & get to know that lucky someone while impressing them as well

After a rather stressful day for me my husband said we should try NeXT. It's one of few Ottawa high-end dining restaurants we have not yet visited. We chose to go with the tasting menu, which was a selection of nine sharing plates from the main menu. We also chose the accompanying wine flights. The food was quite good and the spice level was toned down, to accommodate my husband's non-spicy palate, without compromising on the flavour. We sampled the fried cauliflower and the salad followed by the tempura curds and drunken noodles. Next was a soup, mine the coconut corn and his a pea soup. Our shared main was the scallops and the fatty ribeye. All were lovely. My least favourite course was the dessert of chocolate mousse and crime brulée as I found them too sweet. My husband quite enjoyed them, however. The wine pairings were fine. Nothing stood out and all were available at the LCBO or SAQ. Our experience is that wine pairings tend to excite, and these did not. As an exame, the merlot was les Jamelles. A perfectly acceptable merlot but nothing special about it as it is a pays d'oc. On the whole the meal was good value for money. The service was excellent and most accommodating despite, as we found out at the end of the night, being short staffed.

The food was fantastic, our favorite dish was a curry coconut soup with corn. I had the duck confit as my main and it was delicious.Be sure to tell your server if you don't eat certain meats, there was sausage mixed into a seafood dish and we missed it before ordering. We tried a 3 glass flight of wine and they were all very tasty, especially the heavy weight cab sauv.4 stars only because we had a grumpy server. With food that good (and prices that high) I would expect a better service experience.

This is our 3rd time doing the Blind Sharing Menu, 9 dishes with lots of time to digest and enjoy. We love the surprise of the spectacular menu. The presentation is amazing. Every server we've have had was able to describe the dish in detail, chef Blackie also made an effort to come and provide more info about the dish and tell us a story about which country he got his inspiration from. I don't think I could eat for a few days after .. so full. Its not just a dinner out its an experience. ENJOY!!

A group of 6 friends went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. After hearing good things we decided to give it a try, but we were all dissapointed afterwards. The restaurant is far in the outskirts (in case you are not familiar with the Ottawa area), but our real issue was the rude service from our waitress and the very confusing menu. As we were a group of six, we had no other choice but to take the “sharing experience” option, yet the menu listed individual plates and prices which was very confusing (apparently this is only applicable for 5 people or fewer). When asked for clarification her reponse was to keep close attention on the reservation rules and was giving us dirty looks, then just throwing plates roughly and of course when the bill came in an automatically 18% tip was enforced. Food was okay, but not excellent, and I guess when you visit a restaunt like this one a big price tag is somewhat expected, but out overall experience makes me hesitate recommending this place.
