Poor service! We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. I had high expectations for this place and was really disappointed. We even had to get up and chase after them to pay our bill and leave. I could understand if the food was slow because there were so many people but we had a hard time getting them to even fill up our water while we waited. I do have to say that when we finally were able to pay up, our server took off our drink because she thought we waited a bit longer than everyone else.As for food, it was just good. I got the frutti de mare with rose sauce. I liked the amount of seafood and the quality of pasta. The sauce was fine but I wanted to taste the seafood flavour in the sauce, which I couldn’t. I liked the bread they served as an appetizer but it would’ve been nice if it was warm (the butter they served was cold too and not great to spread). My husband got the penne peppers n garlic tomato and really regretted it because it was nothing special and seemed like something we could make better at home.The restaurant very dark and loud - and being put in the corner and waiting so long made it seem like they forgot about us. I won’t be going back and don’t recommend if you want to eat within an hour of getting there.
These people are the nicest most genuine and caring humans I've ever had the pleasure of working with. If you have some decent kitchen experience and a good sense of humor this place just feels like home.I was only there a short time as a cook on the line, I wish I had met them sooner. I've never been this happy in a kitchen since I was 17 years old and brand new, I'm 38 now. I learned so many new things and was paid very fairly to do so.If you were someone I knew that had experience and needed a job, I would tell you to call Mike or Tommy and tell them you're interested in having a chat.
Went last night for the first time. Had no idea this place existed. It is literally a 5 min walk from my house and never noticed it. So I found it on Google, while looking for a place to take my wife. Now I was a little leary because of the location. Not a plaza I would associate good food. Yes I know judgey. Read the reviews most were great some complained the pasta was under cooked. Then I realized these people never had pasta cooked correctly. I ordered the special rigatoni with sausage crumble and ricotta. My wife was torn between ravioli ans chicken fettuccine, so the waitress offered her to her both for $25. Food was absolutely amazing. Has to be hands down the best Italian food I've had in ottawa in the 15 years I have lived here. This place is for sure the diamond in the rough you are looking for.
Food was very nice. My wife is Italian so she would know!We had the fried calamari and duck wings as appetizers. Not bad, the calamari were not as crispy as we like them. Duck wings were on the dry side.Pasta was very tasty.I had the Frutti di mare Fetuccini and my wife had the clam Linguine. Nice homemade pasta. Sauces were a little too creamy for my taste. But great overall.Service was friendly, nice waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu.Overall very nice experience! Might go back in the future.

Very dissatisfied… it’s the second time we were there. First time was amazing, but this time food was really bad. The dishes with tomato sauce was discussing:( the tomato’s were canned! The prices are expensive, so you would expect not canned food! From my dish, I tried to eat 2 scallops and left everything else on the plate. I barely touched the food and no one asked why and we paid full price. Tried to scab the tomato sauce from my scallops and swallow it … my stomach is not good at all just of thinking I had to eat it. My spouse dish wasn’t good at all as well. He said that he felt that he was eating canned tomato. Very sad as he was fasting the whole day and and was looking into eating there. We will never be coming again.
I'm so confused about the reviews. We tried this place out for take out last week. I can't begin to explain how bland both our pastas were. Not even salt or pepper let alone any other seasoning. The pasta was hard and didn't feel fresh at all, it tasted just like box pasta. And for the low quality the prices made us feel like we got robbed. We were very disappointed.

Amazing take out!! Got cesar salad, zucchini sticks, manicotti and lasagna tonight. Zucchini was a little soggy but very tasty, ceasar salad was good but over priced 18 dollars and both main meals (pasta) were so tasty! Good portions pasta!! Great service and food was hot. Thank you Mr B's! We will order again!!❤
This is the best tasting, most authentic Italian restaurant in Ottawa. I highly recommend the pasta, as the noodle is made in house. Rare sight.
