We love this place food is always amazing and staff are great would recommend everyone to go.
My entree (fillet mignon) was cooked to perfection and the garlic potatoes were delicious. If you like sweet cocktails order a "Mon Cheri" and you'll be happy. My dessert (raspberry creme caramel) was missing a bit of tart contrast and my husband said his cake was good but could have been a little more moist. Good atmosphere and fantastic service. Overall a good dining experience.

Why this place has any customers is beyond me. They are rude, the food is either overcooked and cold or undercooked and bland. Ive tried it 3 times to see if it was me or a bad day for the cook and each time it got worse. Not to mention the staff- RUDE. You can get better food at McDonalds which is gross as it is...stay away for the4 sake of your wallet and stomach.
Recommended by the Chateau Laurier, one of the worst meals we have had in 2 weeks in Canada. Wine was bad, both entrees, fish and chips and croque monsieur, were terrible. They took one of the entrees off the bill but we still paid over $90 for a terrible meal.
Fabulous, amazing variety.Had dinner with colleagues, everyone enjoyed the experience.The options on the menu we’re surprising and unique.Personally had a scallop crudo & the bacon wrapped monkfish, absolutely amazing.Others had braised lamb, baked and fresh oysters, duck confit…Just an amazing menu.Great wine list and local craft beers.This is a must try spot in downtown Ottawa.
We ordered mussels! I must say they are the best of the best! Service by “Mike” was as usual excellent. Overall experience was superb
Me and my mom love this restaurant. Whenever we go downtown to either shop or walk around we always come to the metropolitan for either lunch or dinner. We have never had a bad experience and always have a great time. We had ordered the mussels with the garlic cream sauce and its to die for and always a great go to. W have never had a problem with the service and they are always welcoming when you come to visit.
