The food was very good. The seafood was fresh and had great prices. The portion size was also huge. We had the fried calimari, sauteed shrimp platter and fried sea bream. The fish was cooked perfectly. I will be going back to try the Whiting as they sold out of that.The downside was that the table clothes were still dirty and it took a while to get water. However there was only one server at the time.Overall, a great experience.
This is definitely our favorite restaurant in town! The food is always so delicious and fresh and the taste is always consistent. The restaurant is always meticulously clean. You can tell the owner takes great pride in his restaurant and in his community. Its rare nowadays to find a restaurant with such excellent service! The owner and his staff are all SO nice and super accommodating. Mermaids has quickly become a family favorite and we come here often!

It was out first time trying out this restaurant but will not be the last. We’ll definitely be coming back! All the food was great and very fresh. The service is excellent and very nice people too. The Red Snapper and the Sea Bream are the best!
Hands down the best seafood restaurant in Ottawa! The dinner and service are always exceptional. You can pick the fish from their incredible choice of fresh fish, and have it grilled, baked or fried to your liking. Fried Red snapper, Sea bass and Whiting are our family favorite. We keep coming back to this restaurant for amazing food and friendly service.
I wish i took a photo of the amazing food was but i could not wait. This was our first time going here and we were fasting for Ramadan, and the service was exceptional he brought a lentil soup and dates to break our fast. Our server always made sure we had everything we needed and that we were satisfied. Everything i ordered to eat was so delicious, 10/10 i would go back for sure!
Hands down the best seafood place with the most fresh, delicious tasting food. I haven't had authentic Lebanese food in a long time. The welcoming family atmosphere adds an amazing touch to it. Definitely recommend trying it out, you won't be disappointed
Best thing about the place is that you get warm greeting from the family that owns and runs it. Was visiting Ottawa and was looking for a good fish place. Went for the Sea bream and Whiting dinner with a side of hummus. First time eating these fishes and were delicious, hummus was also good. Will surely visit again next time.
