Mekong is a pleasant, high quality restaurant with a good delivery of the classics. Service is very friendly - even from the little robot - and rapid. Expect dishes to appear one by one until your feast is set before you. Good quality, generous portions and recommended.

This place was great for a quick family treat. The general Tao chicken was phenomenal and maybe the best chicken that I’ve ever tasted. The staff members were very kind and helpful with the choices of my family’s meal. The place was peaceful and relaxed. Overall it was a great experience! We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Food quality is amazing and tastes delicious. Mekong is a welcomingatmosphere and very nice staff. I’ve been here many times and have enjoyed each experience. I always leave feeling satisfied and very full!

Absolutely love this restaurant!! the manager she would always recommend me something really good every time I order there. Very sweet and caring!

The Chinese waitress is SO RUDE there! She was screaming to us and saying "I don't care what you think! Do you want to eat here or not?" Really crazy! We left right after she said that to us. Can't believe waitress can say that to customer. And she said she is the manager of the restaurant.

The setting and ambience of the restaurant is great, it's unfortunate that this could not make up for the absolutely horrendous service we received. We were seated upstairs and basically forgotten about, we had to go and call the servers on multiple occasions to get a pitcher of water and condiments. We were made to wait at least 20 mins before anyone came to collect the plates and give us our bills, and that is after I went down to call someone. We were "guided" to tip the largest amount by the server pressuring and suggesting tip options, essentially forcing us to tip a very large amount for a service that did not meet even half that. They were reluctant to give us plastic bags to carry out foods too. A shame that the service is definitely what gave this spot a bad rep for the night.

This restaurant is one of the oldest restaurant I know of in Ottawa. It is super super cozy and has great ambience! The food is always spot on and so flavourful! portions are quite big, perfect for family dinners. The staff are super friendly and they even have a little robot on their team to help out! Defiently a great restaurant to visit. Portions are big, good priced, and staff are friendly and helpful! The best is the hot and sour veggi soup. defiently a good soup to have when feeling cold or sad :)

The food presentation was decent however the quality was much lower than other places that you could get the better quality and much lower price (ours was 22 per dish including the rice which we could get a better quality with 16$). We were offered a drink which it was not good at all that we couldn’t even take a sip! They rejected the refund and gave us another drink which was much better in taste (which is kinda fair -ish).What really burns me and makes me not wanting to go back ever to this place is the fact that they have the cutest robot bringing you the food and when we paid, the server said as I quote “YOUR BILL DOESNT INDCLUDE THE TIP BTW!” We decided not to tip because the robot did all the work and the nature of tip is to appreciate the good service which we even thought we weren’t satisfied, we decided to count the drink’s price (10$) as their tip and the fact that the server points out the tip thing is rude and demanding (My personal idea…)

One of my absolute favourite restaurants downtown! The dishes are delicious and made with lots of care, while the workers and owners are very kind. It’s a little far for us, but the trip is definitely worth it! 100% a restaurant you should check out!

This place is amazing. We travelled in to the city from Stittsville to support a restaurant that suffered during Convoy. We stumbled upon Mekong. The restaurant was warm and cozy, staff are delightful and the food was the best we ever had in Chinatown. Oh…and I have he food is served by a robot. How fun is that?
