These people are not only friendly to our homeless community and the people that are struggling with drug addiction and alcoholism but they are welcome to into families with young and old children children of all ages they're gentle on the shoplifters they're just plain old nice people and they get life you know they're hard workers they deserve more than what they get that's for sure
I moved to the area about a year ago and at first I wasn't so sure about this place as the prices seemed high, the produce seemed poor and the overall vibe did not win me over.I have to say that I have come to enjoy my shopping experiences here. While some of the prices are a little higher than other grocery stores, I imagine the rent is high and the amount of theft possibly higher.If you are a PC Optimum person like I am you can make the system work for you and end up with great benefits from the program.I normally use the self checkout option which always has a friendly, knowledgeable employee to help if needed. Also worth noting is the very good customer service from the employees in the smoke shop/lottery/customer service area. They deal with a lot of different people, issues, concerns and always maintain professionalism.
The grocery store is alright, but some of the items are frequently out of stock. I would not recommend the pharmacy if you’re looking to fill your prescriptions in a timely manner - both the pharmacist and pharmacy assistants are rude and unhelpful. The Shoppers locations nearby are much better.
If I can give zero , I would . I’ve shopped at this location for over 20 yrs , nevertheless an employee by the name of Lenora was not only unpleasant, rude and bold faced lied , she’s incapable of admitting to a severe error or a much needed apology. I noticed a similar review about her on this page by a unsatisfied customer which authenticates my dismay .I won’t be shopping at this location again .

Busy downtown grocer. Good vegetables and fruit. Nice meat section. Limited kombucha selection. Decent prices (good if you have a PC Optimum card).
It's a great spot for shopping downtown. I almost always find what I need there. It can be hard to find help here as it is pretty busy but still a great place to shop!
Pretty dirty place. Expired produce looking pretty wilted.The meat is overpriced and not very good quality. I recommend you just go to Farm boy a few blocks away on Metcalfe Street. A tad more pricey but great meat and produce quality.

The last two visits I've waited patiently at the sign that reads "please wait for an attendant to sanitize the checkout" while the attendant did nothing! Both times I've had to ask them to sanitize it.I've also emailed the store to make them aware, no response in over a week. I'm now assuming they just don't care about customer's safety as long as they can more them through quickly.
