Wow, a hidden gem! The bulgogi sandwich is delicious, with the brilliant addition of cheese and mushrooms to this traditional Korean beef dish. The garlic soy sauce is a tasty, savory topping and very salty, so don’t use too much. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy. The salad with peanut sauce is fun and unexpected. The interior is casual, great for a meal with friends or family (child friendly but the entrance has stairs, so strollers will be tricky). I’ll definitely be going back!

wow what an amazing experience! the service was wonderful and the portions were huge! the food tasted amazing and was super amazing quality too. will definitely want to come back and recommend to others.

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Ottawa. The fried chicken, udon, soup and especially kimchi my love. And the environment and the service are both so comfortable that you feel like you are eating with your family.Overall, highly recommend!

What a discovery. Authentic Korean cuisine served pipping hot and fresh. Very crispy batter on top of juicy tender chicken. Spicy Udon was out of this world. Good attentive service.

My partner and I ordered two dishes. The dumplings and the fried chicken. We enjoyed both of them although the dumplings were not made in house. The fried chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The flour coating/batter was also seasoned. The yangyum sauce (sweet and spicy sauce) is one of the best I’ve had.Even though everything tasted good, the chicken wasn’t evenly coated, some places were too thick and some places were bare.

O wow.. Authentic korean food ,very tastyEverything is tasty, miso soup a bit spicy for kids, should stick with original miso soup.Chicken very tender and crispy, spicy udon the spiciness just right.Definitely will come back again.Somebody Who love hunting tasty food, try this restaurant you won't regret.

First time trying this place and was very impressed. We got the galbi tang (beef rib soup) and the spicy seafood pasta which were both delicious! At the end of our meal, I noticed that they had sweet potato cheese cake (very rare to find in Ottawa) and had to try it out. I really liked how they plated it and it was also very tasty too. I would love to come back to try other items on the menu.

The food here is excellent. We reserved as a group of 8 and the staff were very accommodating. Although I initially came for the Korean style fried chicken, I also ended up getting the beef bulgogi sandwich after rave reviews by the rest of my group. I also really enjoyed the sweet and spicy sauce which comes with the chicken, as well as the fried potatoes which were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

We ordered the kimchi fried rice and pork cutlet rice (didn't manage to snap a photo of the cutlet rice, was too hungry ?). Both tasted great! And we got some fried chicken to-go as well. The place was cute cafe-ish! Loved the food presentation as well.Great Korean fusion food! And I personally think for those who've never had the opportunity to try Korean food in general yet, Maroo offers authentic Korean flavours perfect for Korean food beginners; but also a fresh take on Korean food for Korean food lovers!

What a great little place! I believe it is family run as the waitress said she would pass our complements to her husband, the chef. I’ll be back to have the Spicy Seafood Udon again and would also recommend the classic boulgoki. Generous portions, great prices, not pretentious at all - and their kimchi side dish is the best I’ve ever had!
