I ordered chocolate cake, the size of the cake is good but the cream is so heavy and sugary that we had to divide all the cream from the top and then eat it. I think the quality of the cake itself was good but the cream ?made it so heavy. For the price wise and lots of creams I dont choose this anymore.
I’ve visited this place from time to time for few years and it’s a nice aesthetic spot for a date.A little overpriced, but the food there are nice.They don’t allow laptops/tablets here, fyi for future visitors!
Their ice-creams are pricey but well worth it. I tried their rosewater gelato mixed with pistachio and absolutely loved the combo. The rosewater could be a hit or miss depending on your taste, but its super light and a refreshing floral. My partner got hazelnut and coffee where hazelnut was the clear winner. The store is also super cute but small so get ready to eat your gelatos outside.
One of the best gelatos I had. (Tried Banana-chocolate pistachio and coconut, all 5 stars) Very friendly and kind staff. Positive atmosphere. They love what they do. And we loved what they did. I will always visit there, whenever I am in Ottawa. Thank you. ?

You know when the ice cream is such high quality that the makers don’t even need to get fancy with the flavours? This is that kind of place. I’m a chocolate lover and I try chocolate ice cream everywhere I can. Mantovani’s dark chocolate was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. A must try.
Best place for gelato and coffee +dessert!I never eat poor quality ice-cream or dessert (unfortunately , it’s so common in Ottawa) , so I’m really happy to find Mantovani .They have vegan ( sorbet) options and really care about cross contamination. Good quality service! Wish to see more places like this in Ottawa.
