First time I went to Malak Pastry it was fine. Really liked some of the sweets. However, today I went right at opening to try their knafe. It was dark brown (not gold), the place was empty with just one worker and worst of all, the cheese was sour. Anyone knows this means the cheese has went bad / expired.I asked the one worker and he said it's cooked every 3 or so days. I got there right at 11am and saw the knafe + other sweets already out & uncovered.This is simply a health hazard and it's disappointing to see the place amount to this.

1. Any of the various assortment of fillings for the baklava are great. The baklava are also not too sweet here. Not the best baklava we've had in the city in terms of the phyllo chrispiness, but very respectable overall.2. The real star of the show is anything made with ashta/kashta (clotted cream-esque). I believe they make it in-house the proper way. Especially try the knafeh with ashta. Best ashta knafeh we have had in the city after trying from 5 different bakeries. Definitely didn't just taste of cornstarch and cream like some others we have tried. From here it has a super rich flavour(milky and vaguely cheesy) and a divinely chewy and creamy texture. Also the rose water syrup had the perfect amount of rose flavour as to not over power the knafeh. So so good!3. The couple behind the counter was super friendly and helpful compared to the staff at some other bakeries we have tried in Ottawa.
Price increased, quality became garbage. Bought few items and paid $80. Through them in the trash. No taste no quality and price is crazy. Definitely won’t recommended.
Love love love Malak Pastry. Everyone is warm and welcoming every time I go there. The pastries and cakes are amazing. I requested a cake for a baby shower and they exceeded my expectations with an excellent attention to details. Highly recommend them!
The sweets are just to die for, but when I want to make a pre-order of a certain baked good a day or 2 in advance, I come to pick it up, and it's not even made yet! But love the people!!

Small, unassuming place. But you can tell that tremendous skill and passion is going into everything made in there. This is the definition of delicious.It has been a long while since I had authentic Arabic deserts, this is everything I miss.
Best bakery. Not only the treats are outstanding,the customer service is phenomenal as well. This is my goto place for fresh, delicious and satisfying retreat and I recommend them immensely.
Malak Pastry has the best Lebanese desserts I’ve ever tried here in Canada! I love the option of being able to order online and that when I must go in last minute, there’s always fresh and tasty desserts. It’s always my go to shop! The owner is always so sweet & generous and the employees are so nice! It’s definitely a 10/10 in my books!
