What a wonderful experience I shared with my family here! The servers were extremely accommodating of our larger party and the food was nicely plated, quick and a great price.The game selection was vast and the atmosphere perfect for board games. With an old tavern aesthetic featuring deep stone walls and exposed beams, the place easily brought out the rousing humour and fun in everyone.The best part was the knowledge of the game wizards (the staff) who could effectively lead and guide in finding fun suggestions for groups. The recommendations were given with confidence and bang on.Thanks for the great experience!!
Everything about Level One was great. The building was really neat with exposed brick walls and gaming stations and tv's set up everywhere. We had a fun time as a family playing video games and board games. The game selection was incredible. The food was fantastic and not what you would expect from a gaming bar. The service was excellent with several people checking in quite frequently and helping with games, food, drinks, etc. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun time and food.
Had a wonderful game night with friends! They have so many different games lining the walls, it's so hard to choose. The staff are super knowledgeable and nice, plus they recommended us games based on what we were playing all night. Cocktails and food were awesome (expensive, but definitely worth it) and the atmosphere was welcoming overall. 100% will be going back
Took my husband on a surprise date here before going to a show at the Ottawa art gallery just up the street. The service was spot on. From start to finish the staff were professional and fun. We had each staff member check in throughout the Service (seems like they have a good TOTAL TEAM attitude there). Not once did we feel ignored or like we were waiting too long. From the beverage, appetizer, to main food, and finally desert it came out in perfect time so thank you to the kitchen. Plus sooo yummy. What a fun time and definitely would return and/or recommend to a friend.
Great place to hangout with friends. Food is delicious and served fast. The staff are nice and they would recommend board games to you based on your interest and also explain you the rules.
Very friendly. Great game selection (board and video) Good drink selection and good food selection. Would definitely come back! But bit on the pricey side. Only complaint is the $8 per person charge to play games. Maybe a $10 per 2 person would be better.
Our party of 9 were in Ottawa for the weekend and this is one of the most fun pubs to go to in the whole city. Great amount of video game choice, board games, great aesthetic and unbelievable food (one of the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had). The servers were all extremely nice and this place should absolutely be on your #1 spot to check out with your friends. 10/10 recommend
I had the curry cauliflower salad and it was very good. Atmosphere was good, and beer selection was good too. We mostly talked, but there were about a 1000 different boardgames along the walls to play if you wanted too. Great place to spend afternoon and evening playing games. Order an appetizer, play game, then order dinner.
My boyfriend and I came here for a date night recently and it was SO MUCH FUN! You literally pay $7 to play either board games or video games at your own table for as long as you want!!! You can also order drinks and food to your table too if you’d like but I’m teeellling you, the gaming aspect is so worth the hype. I’ll definitely be coming here again soon :)P.S. Make sure you call a couple days in advance to book a table if you’re planning to play board games or video games though because it gets booked up pretty fast!
What an awesome place! So many games to choose from while you grab a drink and order some delicious food.Very friendly and attentive staff makes visiting this place a pleasant experience.Would highly recommend if you are looking to get out on the town and do something different for an evening.
