Love the bagels but everything from sandwich’s, to literally everything else has gone down hill. Compare this to what you used to get a year ago and it’s saddening. This is the new kettlemans special, which doesn’t come with olives anymore as advertised! More onions than smoked salmon, with the 20 minute wait, it’s just not worth it anymore
Great bagels and service. I would've given it a 5 star, but in the middle of eating my bagel over of the staff members was cleaning the table behind me and I noticed he was vigorously wiping the table with the cloth and some of the crumbs went flying my way. He didn't even apologize and he kept on vigorously cleaning that same table. Was very disappointed and ruined the dining experience ?The crazy thing is I bought 16 bagels to go and a Cubano bagal sandwich and tipped them ahead of time...hmmmmmmm.... Hopefully their other locations aren't like this. I would try their other locations next time ?
Was having a bad day so I thought I'd go to Kettleman's and have a nice bagel sandwich. 20 minute walk round trip to get it. Got home. Burnt, top and bottom. Someone there put this sandwich together looking at this mostly burnt bagel and thought 'good enough'. No, Kettleman's. Not good enough.
If you like Montreal bagel style and wanna try something better than NY bagel, you must visit here. Fresh and A1 cheese spreed, which can’t be wrong … I tried #6 few times which is grilled chicken, but let’s face it you are here for teh bagelSo focus get bagel with cheese or bagel with butter …
Fantastic bagel bakery with amazing bagel sandwiches and good local artisan food products. Also, they give medics free coffee, and it's pretty good coffee, so that's always nice. Nothing but good experiences at all their locations I've been to.

The Bagels are delicious and healthy!!! But, surprise how the size of the bagel is very small.They should upgrade their hot chocolate!! Taste very bad. For a restaurant that is successful, please upgrade how to serve your hot chocolate. I love the menu, desserts; we try the dessert that has chocolate & coconut it's amazing!!
We absolutely loved Ottawa, and we enjoyed this restaurant. It was a long walk from where we were stay but definitely worth the effort. We will definitely return next time we are in Ottawa.
I have been a regular at Kettlemans for years. I am from Montreal and it’s so great to get those same delicious bagels 365/24/7. The owner Craig and I are from the same hometown of LaSalle, in Montréal and had a few occasions chatting with him when I had some issues. What a gracious man. Great customer service focus. My favourite is the Kettlemans special (salmon lox on a toasted sesame bagel) and their pickles are so good. I always have some in the freezer for a quick lunch.
I went there after moving to the glebe and waited over an hour for 2 bagels with little to no communication from staff until I went to the counter to ask if my order was coming. This was very disappointing and unfortunate. I wish they could handle their service demands. ?
