Really good restaurant! Cosy and friendly atmosphere, friendly staff and really good food! Unfortunately, one of the salads we wanted to order was not available, but the replacement was really good! Great steak and very good sushi. Surely recommended!
2 Saturday ego we went to joey Rideau we were 15 . food it was amazing drinks spectacular the fella on the champagne bottle very nice , recommend. And location was perfect , the waitress very nice . (hostess hard time to get us a place ) missing a good dj thank you
There was a private party, but we had a reservation…bad communication from JOEY! Next time they must send a mail or call that there is a party. Not like this….and it was also raining.
Visited Ottawa with my teenaged grandchildren with big and varied appetites. Joey’s menu fit the bill! The food and service were both amazing, would highly recommend. And location was perfect close to all the sites.
It’s a large and louche space in Ottawa’s Rideau Street with a central bar, picture windows and large bold artworks on the walls. A complimentary glass of sparkling wine was welcome and was taken to my awaiting booth. The menu is much larger than it seems, for example steak including optional sushi appears both in the steak and sushi sections as well as a third section informing them number of calories in the fish. I opted for steak frites without any optional or additional sushi and was content with accompanying frites and a green salad. A creme brûlée cheesecake with strawberries was stunning.
You can never go wrong with JOEY. As a vegetarian, Joey is my go, too, because the menu has a lot of options.Joey Rideau was perfect, from the service to all our ordered items.I could see that the kitchen is well run and very efficient. Everything that came out of the kitchen did not go to waste and was Devoured.I highly recommend it if you are in Ottawa and want to go out to a fantastic restaurant.

My friend and I visited Joey Rideau on July 6th/22 - the entire experience was amazing! We had three different items, as well as a Crème Brule cheesecake, served in two perfectly sized pieces, fresh strawberries and sauce and a generous dollop of real whipped cream. The hostess was good, the wait staff was amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. We were offered a complimentary glass of Casalotta Brut Spumante as we waited for an available table. Definitely worth going again if I get back to Ottawa! Note: some questions asked on this format below are hard to answer, i.e. - tvs? - on the bar side I'm sure there were, on the restaurant side I did not notice any, and none were needed. Was it wheelchair accessible? Inside I think so, outside possibly a small bump up but did not notice a wheelchair assisted door opener. Edit - I don't have a photo on my computer, although I did take one on my phone of the dessert, sorry.
What an amazing, lively atmosphere! We went after work this Thursday. It was crowded, but still plenty of seats available for us.All sorts of people from casual to dressed up, hip, old and young. Amazing to see that type of variety on one location. No one looked out of place.Both of us ordered steaks and we both fully enjoyed. I loved the smokey flavour and it was cooked perfectly.We'll definitely be coming back.
Food is very good , and they offer an small variety of everything. They recently changed their menu and I must say I like it way better . They have great selection of drinks and the steak and sushi is a must !!! Wasn’t a big fan of the Salmon it was very greasy and didn’t set well in my stomach. Awesome for a celebration, bussiness meeting or family . Staff is great and very friendly. They can be long waits in the weekend or after work .
