I truly didn’t know what to expect. The signage Guyanese Caribbean caught my attention. I must say I wasn’t disappointed. I had the Ox tail with peas and rice, it comes with a coleslaw but I didn’t care much for it . I also had the deep fried Jamaica Patty , I didn’t really like it . I like them baked . The peas and rice were very tasty , probably the best I’ve had . The Oxtail had great flavour and everything was piping hot . Im definitely going back and trying every main on the menu. I’m giving Jerkies 3.9 Randy Stars, better than 1 Micheline star
Spectacular service !!! Not to mention the authentic Jamaican food!! You won’t be able to go anywhere else. The food is spiced to perfection yet not spicy!! (My curry roti) I tried another restaurant and I couldn’t even finish my roti. Nothing compares to jerkies. I’m a loyal customer for life <3
I have placed an order to this restaurant and the food I have received looked extremely good. As i took a closer look at it it seemed like I could observe a lot of small hair mixed with the food... I was a little bit perplexed and almost thought it was my own until further inspection I had noticed that not only is it all over my plate but it seems to be mixed with the food. I don't know what kind of business they are running in this establishment or if there's cats and dogs roaming around in the kitchen but I will never order from there again and I advise you to do the same... Extremely weirded out and disappointed. I can't go lower than 1 but if it was up to me my rating would be minus 10.
This place does not miss. I've tried the goat, beef, oxtail, and jerk chicken platters. Jerk chicken and goat are my favourite, but ALL delicious. Definitely get extra coleslaw!
Tried the curry goat and chicken, both excellent! The owner is lovely and is making magic in the kitchen. Definitely worth a try!
Tried curry goat, plus sides of plantain & fries. Would have liked to try jerk chicken but it wasn't on the Uber Eats menu when I was ordering, just saw wings & fried chicken strips!!(?)The large curry goat meal had a decent amount of meat but wasn't curry in any way, no noticeable spices & no sauce. It still tasted good and good texture (not tough) if you like goat. Rice okay, a little bland. Fries were unfortunately soggy & would ask for extra jerk seasoning on them next time. Can't go wrong with fried plantains, these ones were on the firm and starchy side.That's okay w me, but could've been fried longer. Assume there weren't any riper ones on hand.Will order again sometime to hopefully try the jerk chicken.
Chicken falls right off the bone and plantains are so soft and amazing, unlike other restaurants that serve you rock hard fried plantains!!
The jerk chicken was delicious, and so are the plantains. For one person, the large size will definitely give you leftovers.
I’ve been eating here the past year. It’s the only thing worthy of Uber Eats, their BBQ jerk chicken, chicken wings, fried rice, and anything with their jerk sauce is PHENOMENAL! It’s a personal experience, I have hearts drawn all over my Uber receipt, the food is to die for, the service is above and beyond and you’ll want to keep coming back after every meal. I cannot sing their praises enough!
