No hyperbole - this is one of THE best Indian foods I've had in a long time.My cousin, visiting from India, said the food was so delicious, it reminded her of some of the best dhabas back home.Huge compliments to the chef and the team.
Once again, I started to enjoy the dishes before remembering to take pics. We had ordered, Patiala fish pakora, paneer 65, tandoori platter, lamb bhuna and chicken tikka with some tandoori roti. It was very good, loved the selection of kebabs, fish pakora and the bhuna lamb, we look forward to the next time already. Portion size was very good too, we ate to our hearts desire, and still had a leftovers to savor later.
We ate here on St. Patrick's Day. The place isn't fancy, but clean and welcoming. We started with 2 orders of samosa, which were very good and large. They came with 2 sauces, a tamarind and a mint. For mains we ordered 2 chicken vindaloo, one regular and one hot. They were delicious and the hot was quite spicy, which was great. We also had a chicken biryani, and a gobi dish, along with beer and wine. Everything was very tasty! The service was very pleasant and attentive. The prices are excellent and the portions are huge. We all had left overs! Will definitely come back when we're in the Byward Market next time
I wasn't going to let a little convoy protest stop me from making my planned visit to Ottawa to skate on the canal and as I was finishing up my evening skate tonight there were two things I needed: 1. Lamb korma and 2. Garlic naan. This is my go to order at any Indian restaurant when I travel and I have to say that tonight's was one of the best I have had. It isn't just quality that they deliver on, but quantity as well with a generous amount of meat. Beyond the food though is the incredibly friendly and helpful service (especially notable on a night when it must be particularly difficult to be in the restaurant business when the police have the street shut down because of the protests, on top of the challenges of the pandemic). I look forward to making another visit next time I am in Ottawa.
