I went here to attend a wedding. So basically they have restaurant on the top floor and and hall in the basement which they give out for events like marriage or any other dining events. The place is quite large. The food was good. The basement is large for a group of 50 - 60 people. It's sound proof so can have a partly with high base and volume inside this place. The service was also good. They have their own parking.
Delicious, generous portions (and they wrap up your order with so much care!) Tried their Mulligatawny Soup. The flavours transported me to another world! So good. Also ordered the Butter Chicken with rice and a side of garlic naan. My husband and I didn’t talk the entire meal except to repeatedly say how tasty everything was. Highly recommend.
On our first night of moving to Ottawa we ordered an Ubereats delivery from Host India. The main component was an order of butter chicken which, on delivery, was missing. We rang the restaurant who did everything they could to wriggle out of any responsibility, seeking to blame the Uber driver (whose role is to take the order, not check it!) and totally trying to argue the toss, rather than accept their mistake. In addition, they were also having a big party in the restaurant with lots of background noise and didn’t even have the courtesy to try and engage in a conversation. Fact is, the main part of our meal was missing and we have paid $75 for roti, bhanjis, naan and rice. Just accept your mistake and rectify it!!
Great Indian restaurant in Ottawa's east end. Large generous portions if your order take-out which come with either complimentary naan or rice. Simply delicious and so tasty. Can't wait to go back for the buffet. Staff is so kind and courteous.
I have ordered from Host India many times and I am always so impressed with the freshness of the food. Their butter chicken and curries have so much flavor they are incredible. The samosas are delicious. Everything is so good ans the portions are very generous! Anyway try it! I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
Delicious food and great portion sizes!! We ordered for a few different people and got many items on the menu, including biryani, Korma, butter chicken, samosas, pappadum, and mango lassi. All were of exceptional quality and the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes! Will definitely be ordering from here again :)
I don't know where to start they used pasta sauce for butter chicken then the chicken was undercooked there was no cream. Also we found 3 hairs in red sauce, biryani, and pakode the food was trash only good thing was the green sauce.
We've been living in Manotick for a few years and are sorry we haven't tried this restaurant before. Portions were good, flavour was wonderful and the delivery service was excellent. The website ordering is cumbersome and deleted my order a few times before I finally gave up and phoned, which is what I should have done in the first place. After that the experience was smooth and delicious. Thanks.
I am just visiting Ottawa and got stuck near Host India last night. I had to leave my car there overnight last night during the storm. I called the owner of the restaurant and he was so kind to allow me to leave it there until the next morning. I will be definitely trying their food in the near future . Thank you so much for your kindness
Got some Indian food for supper tonight from Host Indian. The whole family (including the babies) really enjoyed the food. We got an order of butter chicken, which was mild on the spice, and a winning dish for Illyana. We also got an order of chicken Biryani, delicious but wish there were more fried onions, love me those fried onions lol. We got a few different sides, meat samosas, vegetables samosas, a Kachumbar salad and their famous house made Naan bread. The meal was perfect and we have so much leftovers. Now I understand what colleagues and friends have been talking about, they make great tasting Indian food. If you are craving Indian, you need to check them out! #supportlocal #ottawafoodiestalker
