Great family owned and operated joint. They really care about the place. This is where I had my first shawarma 15 years or so ago. They have their own twist on spices which make it unique. I used to never mind the detour it takes me to support this restaurant. 4 stars because unfortunately, I learned of a 15-20% price increase in the last month or so, which can make it a bit pricy for certain items. I think we are all affected by food costs increases. Still worth the try if you're around.
What really let this restaurant down were their salads and chicken. Very odd ingredients; their Greek salad was not authentic at all. The falafel was way too dry. The stuffed grape leaves tasted as though they came from a can. My Mediterranean plate did not even have hummus, it was forgotten. Unfortunately the chicken served in the fatoush salad was either hard or somewhat mushy. The donair beef looked so unappealing. There should be NO dill like pickles in a fatoush salad! Nor pickled turnips. One of the fatoush salads did not have crispy crunchy pita pieces, they were added to the salad and so by the time it was on the table at home, they had soaked up the salad dressing. The 2nd fatoush salad had them on the side so they remained fresh and crunchy. Oddly, both the fatoush and Greek salads were about 1/4 pickled turnips. The lamb skewer was actually very nicely cooked. Their dipping sauces were nice. Overall, very disappointing yet $$$$.#localguide
not only do they have amazing food but the owner goes above and beyond. i have been ordering from this establishment for 10 years. when I was in highschool near by years ago, he made sure no one went hungry. he offered food to those students who had no money and went by the honor system to pay him back. he asked for no thanks. this establishment deserves to be recognized. delicious food and service above and beyond
Not greatest and not fresh.
Best shawarmas!
Meat is great and I love the potatoes. Rice is ok. Let’s be honets though, this is not Greek food it’s Lebanese lol. Too pricy for me but good food. No taziki as should be avail with Greek.
I went to Greek Plus for the first time yesterday. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious.I got a chicken platter and lamb platter. The meat was perfectly cooked. The chicken was juicy and the lamb was a perfect medium-rare. The Greek salad was also a star, with a middle eastern twist of added pickles and pickled turnips. If I had to criticize anything, it’s that I would like more pronounced seasoning and a bit more salt on the meat and rice...but honestly that’s just a minor nitpick considering how everything was fresh and well prepared.I also took some stuffed grape leaves, samosas, and a spanakopita home. The grape leaves were perfect. I reheated the samosas and spanakopita in an air fryer, and they were also fantastic.I’d come back in a heartbeat, if not for the tasty food but also the exceptionally friendly service.
Honestly this is the only place I eat shawarma anywhere else taste different.
I have been going here for lunch for years. The food is delicious. Chicken is juicy and favourful. Great customer service, friendly and they remember my name and order just as I like. Price are so reasonable for portion sizes. Best shawarma in Orleans!
We drive out of our way to pick up from this place. Always my favourite.
