We stopped here on our way home from Ottawa and glad we did. The crepes were bigger than I expected and they were amazing. The fresh fruit bowl was good as well and so were the smoothies. Definitely check out this hidden jem in Ottawa, especially if you're looking for a nice healthy breakfast.
Have gotten the takeout breakfast bowls (VEGAN ONE IS SO GOOD!) here a couple of times now and the service is fast, the food is delicious, the employees are lovely, and the atmosphere is beautiful. Lovely patio, too! I believe there is an accessible entrance for the inside as well, although I am not sure how it works.
In search for weekend brunch this place came up we thought of trying it out. Parking in streets is not existent. Had really look at side streets a bit far to get one. All the nearby spots are reserved for the apartment dwellers in the building.Ordered a Huevo Ranchero ($16) - which came with scrambled eggs two corn tortillas with salsa, cheese, sour cream and a side order of fries. The eggs could have used some seasoning even with salsa it needed something extraA Vegan Breakfast Bowl ($14) - a mixture of tofu, spinach, mushrooms and tomato chutney - which somehow tasted to all 4 of us like onion chutney. The vegetables done good, but tofu again had just no flavour. Tofu had a spice rub all over, but it tasted like plain tofu. The Bacun strips were rice paper rolls with some attempted flavours but none came through. And two Vegan Bennies ($16) - a super grainy slice of bread topped with the same tofu, green onions, Bacun and some red pepper strips (NOT Coulis as described in the menu). If some person was having a tofu dish for the first time I think they would describe tofu as no flavour at all. We vegans know that you can do amazing things with Tofu. The home fries in the above dishes was the best - now that we could give 5 out 5. All of us had to go and get Sriracha and Ketchup from the counter to rescue the dishes. Coffee was too weak as well. When you go in and order on the counter and you get food delivered to your table. Should the restaurant still offer to tip on the machine BEFORE even we were served? The order did take a long time, the table not clean when we sat, no condiments on the table and coffee refills slow.An extra star for giving tons of vegan options
We ordered lunch for our team, amazingly delicious. They were able to cater to the dietary needs of our staff including gluten free. The lemon bar is to die for!Professional and friendly staff. Will order from them again and again!Thank you!!
Nice people serving you, heathy food option. Loved the affordable art on all the walls which helps to support local artists.
Loved this cafe. Friendly staff great coffee, and a nice buzz with people passing through. Cassandra behind the bar was fab. You also have to say hello to the Disco Leopard from Islamabad!
Vegan breakfast bowl is amazing; 5 stars for that. I love the tomato chutney.I have had some quality control issues with some past orders - i.e. granola and yogurt had no berries and was all yogurt, smoothie tasted bad one time, so can't give 5 stars overallLately, the food in my orders has been good /excellent though.
Excellent environment and tasty dishes. I think is one of the hidden places in Ottawa where you can have a great brunch with friends or even a date, they have a charming heated patio.100% recommended. Friendly staff.
Vegan bowl w gluten free toast was perfectly delicious! Also had the carrot ginger tumeric smoothie which was the perfect complementary drink! Highly recommend going here if you have any dietary restrictions/sensitivities! Found my new favourite breakfast spot and can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!! Will be back for sure!!
We are in town visiting and stopped in for breakfast, really glad we did..... The service was great, so friendly. The food was amazing, I had the mushroom melt, my wife had the breakfast bowl, and my daughter had a tropical smoothie with a croissant, everything was amazing. Definitely will be returning and we have already told or friends and family in Ottawa they have to go check it out.
