I want to give zero star but luckily for the restaurant, there's no option.. We found four GREY hair in our food, unexpectable! The "owner" was rude, inattentive and very impatient when asks for menu option. It was our first time going there and this will be our last. The owner still made us pay for the food even though 1/4 food were not eatable anymore. We were so grossed out. I purposely ask the owner if her cooks wear hair net, she is obviously lied telling me YES. There was only one cook when we went, it was an older lady with short grey hair AND she is NOT wearing hair net. I'm totally DISGUSTED by food. It was a waste of our money and our time.
Ordered for the first time this evening via Uber Eats…Wow! I think this might be the best Chinese food I’ve had in Ottawa.Our regular place was closed this week so we decided to try something new to us. More expensive than average but totally worth every dollar.Perfect balance between authentic Chinese food and “Canadian” Chinese food - but you won’t find chicken balls here, lol.We ordered: egg rolls, bok choy with garlic sauce, chicken fried rice, Cantonese noodles with bbq pork and shrimp, and black pepper beef.Every dish exceeded expectations. The egg rolls are generously sized and not too crunchy. The fried rice had a generous amount of chicken, egg and peas (authentic/homemade tasting). The bbq pork was absolutely melt in your mouth, and the beef was very flavourful.Do yourself a favour and try this place!!!
This place was very unsanitary as soon as you walk in you see workers making food without gloves and going form place to place without cleaning their hands. I saw hairs on our food it was grey and short and when we brought it up to the workers they made us pay for the food still. I want to give this a 0 star, we didn’t get any type of apologies as well. Even food at the food courts are better than here.
Soooo disappointed!!! I was told by so many people that this place was so good so I wanted to try it out for myself and 70% of the noodles in my meal were RAW/ UNCOOKED. It is such a shame because everything else was great!
Really good portions and price. Their twice cooked pork was phenomenal. Server was speaking Cantonese. They didn’t have any tea when we went. Get a discount if you pay cash.
We ordered lamb & cumin stir fry, fish & mustard green soup, and spicy eggplant. Everything was incredibly flavourful and authentic. One small point for improvement is that the menu should make it clear that the fish and mustard greens is a soup. Otherwise, we were very pleased!Pick up was easy, parking is convenient (around the back), and they even have a covered walkway to the front door. Will definitely order again and looking forward to trying more on the menu!
What they didn’t deliver in potent flavour they delivered greatly in portion size. For real I was so excited to see my plate of fried rice walk out.
Very bad experience!! We have order the take away for almost $200, but they forgot to one dish. So I have called back to.check. The owner had a very bad attitude and said this is the the service they provide. So disappointed!! High recommended not to order from this restaurant
This is my favourite authentic Chuendes restaurant in Ottawa. Really great flavours and always consistent. Highly recommend.
Great place! The food was delicious, the tea was tasty. And the service was outstanding. It felt really authentic. The restaurant is Very clean too. Will definitely come again.
