From the outside, I wasn't so sure about this restaurant. However, step through the door and its a very atmospheric, inviting restaurant. We had lunch, which was terrific. The salmon with poached egg salad and the procuitto with fruit were both excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A gem!

I visited Fraser for Sunday brunch before attending an Ottawa Chamberfest concert at a nearby church. The two chefs both used to work at the downtown restaurant Domus whose demise is much lamented. The menu is both eclectic and international including a multi-decked toastied sandwich with bacon pork and cheese with the Italian name Monte Christo, a salmon salad named after Lyon in France not to mention US style eggs and hash. The lady sitting at a table to my right opted for a French toast with rhubarb and maple syrup but with a side of three pork sausages. I chose a dish of Japanese origin called an Okonomiyaki which was essentially a round pancake with shrimps, bacon and fried eggs all skilfully woven into the same texture. A mimosa and a double espresso topped and tailed my lunch nicely. Clientele I noted came from all ages ranging from well healed elderly local couples to tattooed young women in short tight black dresses.

First day that Fraser was open for brunch again. We had a lovely meal. Very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. Lots of choices on the brunch menu, generous portions, high quality ingredients, flawless execution. And they have the best fries in Ottawa! We'll be back soon.

This restaurant is my favorite restaurant in the city. I have never had any bad experience there. The menus and often changed and the service is excellent.Great vegetarian options as well!

Takeaway lamb pie was the worst I've ever had . It was void of veg yet filled with gravy & seeds. Only a few morsels of lamb & no flavour. The Royal Oak around the corner has a pub pie that is gourmet compared to theirs. I decided to give another try & chose their frozen Cauliflower soup. It was so tasty I went to get another, but they were all sold out.

Had an amazing time there Friday. We had a reservation and they had set aside one of the best tables in the house for us. Cocktails were delicious, and each plate was unique and well thought through. Our server was excellent, attentive but not invasive, and the support staff also went above and beyond by continually refilling waters, clearing plates and even offering to refill my cocktail when my server wasn’t around. 5/5 for sure, I see what all the hype is about!

Have been coming to Fraser cafe for over 12 years. It's a regular 3 times a year spot for my wife and I. The food is always delicious, literally ever dish is on point flavour wise, texturally and presented with care, not over the top which I appreciate. Service is always courteous, attentive and professional. Truly a gem in this city and so glad to see it full this past Friday when we went. Thanks to Chef owner Ross, Chef Kyle and the rest of the brigade for a wonderful dinner and celebration. Chelsea provided great friendly service. We will be back soon!! Chef Oliver

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Excellent service too.

Amazing chef, great menu rotation, fantastic vibe.

Just love this place. We have been ordering one of their takeout meals every weekend and is just fabulous! Generous portions, sauces to die for, fantastic pairing of sides with the main meal. This weekend we had the bacon wrapped tenderloin. Last weekend we had the chicken cordon bleu. Each time it was a WOW! I drive in from Kanata to pick this up. It's that good. I really hope they continue these weekly take away meals after things return to a post pandemic normal.
