I went with my family since we were craving some wings and other finger food for lunchWe ended up coming the next day again for breakfast too which was also pretty good, the service was a little bit worse than it was the day before but I think our waitress was a traineeFood was delicious, prices are great, the service is okay hence the 4 stars otherwise I’d give it 5. Will definitely be coming again!
A busy spot with cold beer and hard working servers. The food is decent, and they have weekly specials for food or drinks. A good spot for after hockey beers or to watch a game.
First time eating there today. The breakfast was very good and so was the service. No complaints. The price was excellent for what we got.
Only giving 2 stars to get the owners attention.The food here is always good, prices are great and so is the service I've been coming here for the last 5 years, so this is definitely a reflection on the management and not the place/staff as a whole.But it really makes me wonder why, with being such a staple in the uOttawa community…why in the world would you treat your staff so horribly???When we went there was only one server who had to man the bar and the nearly FULL house all by themselves. The poor soul was running around like a chicken with their head cut off! They truly couldn't catch a break! And as a customer it was horrible to witness such an utter disregard for the employees well-being.So this is a PSA to the owner - hire more staff, or at least make sure you're adequately staffed every night. If you don’t, I wouldn't be surprised if your entire staff up and walked out on you.
We thought that the price of the beer was high and also ordered Nachos they were dry and over cooked…..would we come back would have to think about it..
Great breakfast & good drinks! Only issue is that every time I've gone they're very understaffed, might have just been my timing... other then that I love it
We were at the restaurant this morning (May 22). The waitress came to take our order and brought our coffee very quickly but then that was it. We waited for almost one hour without any service. No coffee refill, no food in sight. When we asked (after almost one hour) how much longer we had to wait, one waitress said she would asked our server. But our server never came to our table. After another 15 min wait, we decided to leave. This is the worse breakfast experience we have ever had. If there were minus star ratings, I would give them -5 stars.
Went for Sunday lunch and they said only the breakfast menu, which was fine. Home fries were really good. What you'd expect for a student breakfast and pub place. Decor and atmosphere was lacking but wasn't expecting much.
We've been here a few times and we'll definitely eat there again. It is typical pub food, but they also have inexpensive breakfast (For $8 you get 2 eggs, bacon, toast and home fries). This visit I had the deep fried pickles which was a huge portion. My daughters both had the poutine, which they loved. I had a glass of sangria which was also good. (They sell pitchers of sangria as well for $19).
The place to go for cheap eats especially as a uOttawa student! Cannot beat their 8 dollar breakfast! Everything is always delicious and the people are the nicest. Great atmosphere and workers are super involved in the uOttawa community!
