One of the best restaurants Ottawa has to offer. I would highly recommend the Chorizo Crispy Tacos and the Beef Barbacoa Tacos. The Lamb Quesabirria was on the blander side but nothing their in-house hot sauce can’t fix.I highly recommend this spot and will never say no to an invite here!
Extremely poor customer service. Asked the two of us to move from the table (for 4) we were seated at when the whole restaurant and patio were empty because their “policy” is to leave the tables for parties of 4. There was no line up. Poor excuse for a manager as well, when we asked to speak to him about the situation all he could come up with is “that sucks” no apology whatsoever. The tacos are not worth the crappy restaurant crew.
There's a lot of good taco places to check out in Ottawa but El Camino is consistently recommended to me. So I had to try it for myself and now I know why it's the number one spot for tacos. Fresh tortillas stuffed with beautifully marinated meat seasoned to the T. The fresh chips with salsa is another must! The salsa is light and savoury and like Lays you can't just have just one! To top it off, get a nicely mixed margarita to wash down the delicious meal. With the great service, it's hard not to want to go back. Definitely recommended as my go to taco spot!
Had to renew my review for this restaurant because the tacos are just too good! I will come here a few times a year purely for the cauliflower taco and churros with salted caramel sauce. The flavours are on point, there’s the perfect amount of spice and a great harmony between the avocado, the saucey cauliflower, the peanut taste and all the other delicious things they put in it. The churros are warm, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce is addicting, I could chug it. The cocktails have a high price mark for the size and I didn’t really like the pina colada. I’ve yet to try all the options, so I won’t give up. As for the restaurant: good ambiance, lots of tables and super quick servers (got seated right away, water refilled immediately and dishes taken care of swiftly).
Fish tacos here are a game changer!! If there's one thing you must try here than please get the fish tacos. You won't regret it.
Best tacos in Ottawa hands down. I've been here multiple times and enjoyed every meal. Each taco on the menu is very unique from the rest and each are super flavorful. They provide hot sauce if you like which makes them even more tasty. Tad pricey but worth the money for sure. Service is always great and I enjoy the vibes of the restaurant.
Had heard a lot about El Camino and finally made it today. The nachos with guacamole were one of the best we've had. The chicken taco lived up to it's hype ? for me the star dish was the Betel Shrimp which was unique, tasty and such a simple concept! I'm surprised more restaurants don't have it on their menus. All in all a good time and I'm definitely going back for the Betel Shrimp! ?
Came across this place randomly searching for Pina colada . The first few reviews I read made me go , I must confess their food is good! I got the Ox tongue tacos and my friend got the Taco del Norte (basically ground beef tacos) , there food is well seasoned ,only thing is the price !They charge about $7 -$7.50 for tacos on small tortillas. I wanted more so I opt for the Lamb quesadilla. This was the highlight of my night !!! The tortillas was crispy , and I think they added some signature stuff in it , made it taste so good . It came with a side of Birria , which was not salt after dipping the quesadilla. I’m not a big fan of their Pina colada.Overall a great experience for my first time in Ottawa.
I love the cauliflower taco with matcha sauce love it perfect option for vegetarian
This place is super popular. It took me 3 tries to get here but it was worth it. All their tacos were amazing.
