We stopped by for lunch today & it was great. It was a little hole in the wall hidden gem. We sat by the open window so we could dog watch. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly waitress that brought out our iced coffees very quickly. Hubby ordered the steak & Caesar salad that I immediately had to try when I saw it ( I normally hate salads) & my mouth was in heaven. I had also been craving a good waffle so I ordered waffles & sausage which satisfied my cravings immediately. We both left with full, happy bellys. It is an og diner with classic, comfort food & option for all day breakfast. I'm already excited to come back
Decent breakfast in that it is always consistent. Strange thing is how they open the front windows to Bank Street in the morning. Today for example it was 16 degrees outside and there was a chill in the restaurant. Plus rush our traffic and all the noise does not create any kind of positive atmosphere.
Worst experience ever. We waited for our food for 1 hour and 15 minutes, the waitress didn't give us any attention and when she finally acknowledged us she smelled like weed and said she couldn’t give us an estimate as to when our food will be ready. All the staff and even the area close to the kitchen smelled like weed. We left and we will never go back.
Worst chicken wrap i’ve ever had. Very dry, lettuce was gone bad & sour; gag worthy, can see it in the pictures & chicken just tasted like frozen fingers sliced up. Also charge $3.95 for a can of pop on SkiptheDishes… Do not recommend at all.
Awesome breakfast poutine. Coming from Québec, this was probably the best poutine I had in many years. Treat yourself and try this!
Breakfast here was good. Service was excellent; there was only one waitress working on a pretty busy morning but she served everyone quickly and accommodated to our requests. She checked up on us but not too often which I appreciate as I prefer to eat without being disturbed.
Great authentic place for breakfast. Would definitely visit again. Coffee and tea was complimentary with breakfast which is a nice touch!
Went for dinner recently. The food was okay, however the salad came with no dressing. The biggest letdown was the lack of atmosphere and attentiveness of the staff while setting up for their karaoke evening. They were basically rearranging the whole place while we were eating which was noisy and distracting. It felt like we were in the way, which significantly impacted our dining experience.
Great food, I ordered egg breakfast with sausage and pencakes. Giving it 3 stars because the location was full of loud teenagers, they have truly horrible coffee, and they served a dirty knife. Would recommend to everyone to check your utensils.
A nice cozy greasy spoon diner. Friendly service, quite popular for a Saturday morning @8:00am. It is run down a bit and is in need of a ‘lift’. …though perhaps it’s part of the charm and vibe?COVID double vaccination verified with each customer. We ordered traditional 2 eggs over easy-medium with hash browns and protein & Eggs Benedict Florentine. Everything was fresh and tasty and very well presented. Definitely pleasing to our eyes! My two critical comments regarding our food was the eggs came slightly over cooked and the temperature of our food was a little too cooled off - it must have sat for a few minutes before being placed on the pass for service. Coffee was typical diner coffee, however, fresh and topped up consistently without having to ask! Lovely.Excellent and vibrant atmosphere amongst the patrons.Overall experience was quite satisfying and I would return without hesitation. Most certainly family friendly.#localguide
