Stopped I'm here for a snack, the fries were the best in the city. Needless to say I'll be returning here. The owner was very nice as well. An overall great experience.
Delicious! And friendly :)I’m working through the menu. Beyond the fabulous Caribbean chicken, the family has loved the roti and jerk poutine.Can’t wait for the cheese cake and fresh tropical drinks!
A colleague at work told me about this place and Wow!My family is from the Caribbean so I have "vast" experience with West Indian food, lol.....it was delicious, the chicken roti was as close to how Mom used to make it. Yes, they have Caribbean beverages as well.Easy to find, easy to access. Friendly and quick service. Juicy, delicious jerk chicken in a soft, fresh bun and a side of crispy fries. Enough heat to show attitude but not painful. We’ll be back to try more!
Amazing take out meal for the fam. Had fried chicken (mild and hot, even the hot wasn’t that spicy though in case you are concerned), jerk chicken (which was spicy!), plantains (excellent and sweet), fries (light and fluffy), and the sautéed vegetables. Finished off with strawberry cheesecake - which was super rich and delicious. Definitely will be returning. Suggest you try da cribb too!
This place was recommended by a friend and OMGoodness - it was awesome!!We had the lunch special and it’s a lot of food for the money ($8)!!Perfectly cooked fried chicken (crispy & juicy) and not greasy at all. You get a choice of either spicy or mild sauce. Both look the same and taste like mango/habanero(?) with the spicy one having just a little more heat - like a thicker & more flavourful honey-hot wing sauce.We also had rice and plantains instead of fries and both were yummy. Also carry a unique variety of drinks too. The guy cooking and serving was a blast to deal with as well.Unfortunately they are also known for their cheesecake but alas none available today.Just gives us another reason to go back again soon! ;)
Agree with other 5 star reviews. The chicken is very tasty and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous and prices very fair. The Owner/chef is happy to chat and gives the place a relaxed feel. Highly recommend.
Blown away.Stopped by after hearing about this place from a friend. Its a little off the beaten path, but is a little gem.I had the 1/2 chicken (jerk) with rice, beans, and sautéed vegetables. They threw in plantains as well. HOLY [email protected]$%. It was delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and full of flavor. The jerk sauce has a slight kick (heat), but in a good way. You can't stop eating it.The rice and vegetables were very well seasoned. I am not normally a fan of plantains, but they were cooked to perfection and very well seasoned.You can order in advance to save yourself some time.Service is great.Price is reasonable for the quality and quantity.
We had an amazing 1/2 Jerk Chicken platter w/rice , Macaroni Pie & Plantain recently. We also tried the Goat Roti, and both were the best we've had. (including a couple of trips to Jamaica!) We'll be back soon!
100% recommended. The southern fried chicken and fries were delicious. The chicken came covered in a sauce that was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The fries were also top notch and clearly made fresh to order. Would love to go back to try the jerk chicken as well.
