Great pub fare I always value pubs based on their ability to make a good shepherds pie. This version was excellent. The right proportion of meat and potatoes and served with Caesar salad. The price was more than reasonable
Was last at this pub in 2019. Good variety of food with some additions to the menu incl. their Tandoori Chicken Fajitas which I enjoyed. Inside ambience is good but noisy in keeping with the pub atmosphere⦠also check out âDâArcy McGeeâs Handâ. Servers did a great job. Ate out on the patio to take in the sights and sounds of the City.
Jâapprécie quâí lâaccueil nous avons été reçu en français. Malheureusement, la serveuse ne parlait pas français du tout. Par contre, le serveuse était souriante et le service très bon.

Saw this lovely Pub when I went on the Haunted Walk and mentioned to my friends that Id like to visit before leaving Ottawa. So this ended up being our last stop and wow!!! Best for last! Food was AMAZING!!!! Awesome flavors and proportions were just right! And the drinks, THE DRINKS!!!! I highly recommend the Ceili Cold Fashioned- so good!!!! I also got to try a few more staple beers that Canada had to offer that I missed out on, all drinks I sampled were excellent and beers were poured just right! Also the servers were great conversation, and knowledgeable about food and drink menu. I would highly recommend stopping and I look forward to visiting again on my next trip! ?
Went for dinner last night (Saturday night). Location was busy. We had a table in the downstairs. Atmosphere was fitting of the theme of restaurant, food was good. I ordered a diet coke and the tap was off so it didn't taste like pop. I asked if I could have a ginger ale instead. They admitted that at times, the pop dispenser doesn't mix pop correctly. They brought me ginger ale... In a kids cup! Then had the nerve to charge me for 2 pops.i had it removed from my bill. We were not given any napkins or utensils for our meal. Our server was over worked because he rarely came to our table.Not likely to return.
Service was terrible!!! She got my friends order for drinks and dessert wrong. Plus, we waited for 30 min to get our wrong desserts. Also, our server was very rude and condescending to some coworkers about cleaning one of her tables. It was horrible!!! We won't be back!!!
Best burger ever, the Blarney fries were amazing, & the service was enthusiastic & friendly. Downside, very warm inside, & the gift card we intended using somehow was very confusing for the server, who requested help from a colleague, & payment for the balance ended up being the whole amount on debit card. We’re not from Ottawa, & had gone to Darcy’s with the intent of using the $50 card. It would have been nice if the server had explained how to use it. But definitely great food!
Great food. Server friendly and attentive. Nice ambience. Highly recommend for a casual night out with friends!
