There's no doubt they have the best gluten free cupcakes. However the customer service at the Richmond location is extremely disappointing.I have been a frequent customer since 2016.In the last year when I call to place an order, they rarely answer the phone. Ok they're busy but the bad part is they don't call me after I leave a message. This is not a one time thing, it's happened so often I'm starting to take it personally.Disappointed
I'm so sorry I have to rate you a one! My son bought me cupcakes instead of cake for my birthday on Dec. 27th. One was chocolate frosting with a vanilla bottom & the other was a vanilla frosting with not sure what kind of bottom. The frosting was great but the cupcakes itself was horrible. It tasted like someone put way to much baking soda in instead of baking powder. He tasted them as well & tasted the same thing. To the garbage they did go. Unfortunately, it was like whoever made that batch grabbed the wrong container by mistake.
Every bite I feel like I was punched in the mouth with delicious flavour. I now cry myself to sleep knowing I cannot live off of their cupcakes alone despite it being my new life goal.
I ordered cupcakes for my daughter's birthday from the downtown ByWard Market location. They were delivered on time and the dude who delivered them was friendly. Upon arrival, the cupcakes looked good physically and were perfectly intact. They turned out to be fresh and delicious. From initial contact with the bakery, the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service from beginning to end.
I've heard good things about the Cupcake Lounge and read raving reviews about their gourmet cupcakes and other sweet treats, but nothing could have prepared us for the surprise we got, when we ordered birthday cupcakes for my teen daughter. The cupcakes were baked and executed to perfection, and gorgeously assembled and decorated with flowers that left all of our jaws on the floor. The Cupcake Lounge went way above and beyond of what we expected these birthday cupcakes to look and taste like. Needless to say, they were a total success and even the pickiest teens at the party devoured them right after they admired their appearance. I cannot say enough good about the lovely staff and our delicious experience, you'll just have to go see for yourself. Thank you so much for the love, Cupcake Lounge!
