I ordered the vegan tacos…and they were not great. Very basic, not a lot of flavour. I was expecting a lot more from this restaurant. This doesn’t feel like authentic Mexican, it’s a little “watered down” in my opinion. The total for 3 corn tacos, with basic pico de gallo, few veggies, and little guac came to $20. Not worth it in my opinion.
We came for lunch based on reviews and we were not disappointed! This place, although a bit more expensive than I had anticipated, was very authentic and had absolutely delicious food. From the various salsas you can pick depending on your heat preference, to the many different menu options; they had it all! The tacos were just delicious and my husband raved about his burrito too. Friendly and personable service, and the food came out fast. My only complaint would be that there isn't enough seating. People seem to order take out from here as well. We saw Skip the Dishes come by and a bunch of people come in saying they called ahead. Very popular place, and you can definitely tell why!
We had chicken quesadillas, pork taco and a beef burrito. The tortillas are so soft and yummy, ingredients are fresh ❤️
Such a friendly staff and very great service. The food was amazing so I cannot falt them for anything. The location is fantastic there was parking right in front of the shop. I had the burrito and it was absolutely mental. Also the prices were super affordable so that’s a plus. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.
Just an okay experience. The tortilla soup was okay, but the portion was very tiny and mostly broth. The chicken quesadilla was better, but some parts lacked chicken and cheese and other ingredients (it was just tortilla). The service was very slow, but the three employees were nice. The table was coming apartWhat I disliked the most though, was that the containers and cutlery were all plastic. Especially for people eating there, there should be real cutlery and dishes. Less harm for the planet!
We enjoyed this meal the most of any we ate in Ottawa. It was delicious and fresh; well seasoned and intensely flavored (but not spicy hot). The sauces are fantastic. I enjoyed the crunchy tostadas with their toppings and side of fresh tomato salsa. The kids loved the extra cheesy quesadilla.Service is fast. The dine in area has 3 tables and a bar table. Being right on the market made for good people watching.
Delicious cochinita seasoning. The horchata was also delicious and sweet.Service is quick and pleasant.The only downside is the seating and dine-in room. If you don't mind this or you prefer takeout, this place is a delicious spot for Mexican food.
i try the soft tacos following the comments, super great taste for the beef and the pork. The flavor of the meat is complex and vigorous. The tomatoes and onion give it a balance. The use of cilantro is fabulous?also tried one of the hot source recommended by the staff, very nice
I love their taco salad! Huge portion of lettuce topped with guac, pico de gallo, protein, olives, peppers and crispy tortilla. I always get the garlic jalapeño & brava sauces. They are absolutely fantastic. Best Mexican food in Ottawa & friendly staff!
Small, fun place with delicious food served by lovely people. Would love to eat my way through the whole menu!
